Unless you alter the angle of the cut on the existing tip, I don’t think the slip on tip will close all that gap down :like:

WD :like:
Probably not perfectly yeah, the slip ons have a nice angle but not quite the same. At the top though I still have a good 1/4" or so more I can move them down. Just taking it easy cuz I'm no pro at this and don't wanna bang them up.

I'm not sure if I would hammer on them, I was able to get mine to bottom out just pushing them in. It'd be worried about damaging the tips.

Rubber mallet and a thick towel has been doing ok, gentle taps.

I am not strong enough to muscle these on I guess! You must be a hunk.

I want a set but I'm concerned the jarring effect of hammering them on could harm the valves. Probably nothing to be concerned about, though, I'm sure the exhaust bounces in some scenarios already.

More pics of them fully seated would be cool. 😎

Now I'm wondering what's the trick to getting them off?

(that didn't sound right)

LOL, just pull really hard.
(wait that didn't sound right either)

I've had them on and off a few times. And they are easy enough to get on and off, but not easy enough where I'd worry about them coming off. It makes cleaning and polishing easier.

They have little tabs on the inside that push down and hold on pretty tight. I imagine with a tool or really really strong arms you can just pull it off.

I committed to mine after trying a test fit, those little arms left some marks on my stock exhaust tips so I had to go all in. Luckily I am very happy with the results cuz it's tough to go back now.

I just got an endoscope for my Mucar scan tool, it was $50.00 It seems to be a nice tool. it comes with a hook tip and a magnet tip and a mirror tip and they just screw on the end of unit. I didn't have a requirement for it right now, but I have in the past and the price was good. My scan tool has an 8" screen, so I get a good field of view.

Just picked up this 2021 GT A10 <flew out to Raleigh> and drove it back in one shot (Texas). 12k miles on the odometer now. Waiting on the Whipple Stage II to arrive, but had some other mods to do before then. Need to lower it about 20mm as well.

Very nice! Its good to see someone else from Conroe on this site. If you see a black 2015 GT with smoked 2018-style tails around town, that's me!

My first thought for you is to check under your seats to find what you dropped under there!

I bought one recently, a Vevor from Walmart, just $25. I just used it to check brake pad thickness on our Explorer ST. It's tricky to judge with the front wheel on.

Side view camera from behind the caliper:
Shows pad as thick as outer rotor, and shows the backing plate (typically 6mm thick).

Front view camera from ahead of the caliper:
Shows pad and a hint of the backing plate.

As title suggests, this thread will be for 2015 Mustang owners to post pics what they worked on today, show off what they have done to their car recently, etc. Share and it might inspire some ideas for others to do on their Mustangs too.

I'll be getting a tint first thing in the morning and perhaps a car wash, will post pictures shortly!

So, what did you do to your 2015 Mustang today?
Went to Mustang Week!
