In my experiences, dealerships have the lowest qualified people. They’ve done more harm than good in my vehicles. Not likely I’d trust them on a trans fluid, or even a basic tire install
My 2016 Camaro SS the chevy dealer rotated my staggard wheel set up by putting the rear wheels on the front! Rode strange on the way home and then I looked and notice. The dealer said they were too "busy" to correct it so I had to go to walmart and have them swtich it back and pay $15

The pan gasket is a controlled compression aluminum with an imbedded O-ring, it's supposed to be reusable. Any technician "on the clock" is going to be hard pressed to to get the fill level correct in the allotted Book time, it's a pain (the catalytic is next to the fill plug dip stick) and it takes some time to do it right. It's not difficult to do it yourself but if you're not up to the challenge or don't have the means to level the car and get under it, find someone you can trust. This kind of maintenance doesn't require any special transmission training other than patience and diligence.

My dealership said they flush it with no guarantee it will work afterwards. I wanted a new filter to know there is nothing partially clogging it. I did it myself. Its not real hard other than the mini dipstick.

And to think how much easier all this would be if the A10 had a proper dipstick like they used to.....

Can’t say I’m surprised. I had an ecoboost for a few years when I was engaged (kept me from spending money on the car lol). It had issues when I bought it, so I brought it right back. Mentioned the steering was making a noise I hadn’t quite identified yet, but had some idea. They insisted it was due to the rear axle needing replaced….in the rear. I asked which rear wheel drove car steers from the back. Then had to come in about a year later and the part I had mentioned needed replaced certainly now. They fought me in that then said you have an axle leak. I said check your records, you changed that and it’s covered under warranty. Lady actually argued with me that a ā€œseep is not a leakā€. I said so you’re saying a seep is just a small leak then? She eventually gave in. But I ended up speaking to the president. Shoutout to Pearson Ford in Zionsville IN. Biggest waste of space. Hopefully they level it one day.
