I am taking my 2019 GT PP1 in for a transmission fluid change and coolant change, two different shops. Couple of questions. Does the belly pan need to be removed for the transmission fluid change? How difficult of a job is this? I am getting a little concerned reading the removal instructions. I do not know if the either shop has done this and I don't need missing/broken fasteners, etc. I certainly hope this does not need to be done by both shops as my odds of an issue doubles. Any comments, past experience is welcome. If this is a big deal it's not too late for me to find a shop that has done this or a Ford dealer.

I cannot answer your questions, since I do not know exactly what is involved in the process for either requirement, having never performed this work myself, but I understand your concern. I can only recommend doing what I plan to do when the time comes for me to have this done: Take your PP1 GT to a Ford dealer you believe you can trust to do both jobs. You may optionally want to get materials & labor quotes from 2 - 3 different dealerships. Also, if you have accrued any Ford Rewards points, you can apply those to defray some of the expense.

It's up to you to decide how much your peace-of-mind is worth. Good luck with whatever you choose to do!

Here is a simpler question for someone that has done it. Does the splitter need to be removed to remove the belly pan on a 2019 GT pp1 car?

Well you can answer your own question by crawling under your car. If you have a floor jack you can jack up one front corner only just to see what you're up against.

I usually take off my bumper and belly pan together as one unit. Although I did have to remove many fasteners when I updated my splitter.

IDK if the coolant drain petcock is accessible without removing the belly pan. But the trans pan is not concealed. However there are clearance issues, and so either use Search for other threads or pay someone to do it for you. I DIY quite a bit, but I know a trusted dealer to do the trans and also possibly the coolant for me.

You don't need to remove anything to get the trans pan off. As you can see in this picture, most of even the engine oil pan is exposed and the trans pan sits past that. Yes this is a manul pictured, but you can imagine where the auto trans would be right in between the 2 cats.

The pan is very easy to drop, all the bolts are fully accessible and they shouldn't have alot of torque to them since they are going into a plastic pan. The biggest worry is about making a mess draining the fluid and then making sure you set the level appropriately with the new fluid which can be a bit of a pain.
