Has anyone else repaired this or would anyone happen to have pictures of the back channel with the window removed? Trying to decide whether to try and squeeze in 3m Flexiclear or have the rear window pulled for a better repair. Feel like I am opening up a can of worms at this point.

The right way to do it is to get a body shop to look at it and give a quote for having the rear window pulled and resealed.

Many don’t go that route because it’s not a cheap fix paying out of pocket and because it also involves needing possible paint repair once the window is pulled since the original seam sealer was painted over.

The 3M clear from the exterior in the gap around the window would work, but definitely tape off the body and be sure not to put an excessive amount on, because even though it’s “clear” you’ll still see it when it dries.

The other way to try and fix is to remove the interior panels and do a seal around the glass and metal from the inside of the car. No guarantee it will work any better, but always test resealed areas with a hose afterwards for leaks.
