I'll probably take crap for this, but a Procharger. Yes, the car is an absolute blast to drive, but adding forced induction of any type (Not a dig against Procharger), opens a can of worms that constantly needs fixed.
Same here. Got a used very low milage stage 2 Procharger for half price.!!!
Add $100's for light weight K member, labor to install, &$#+@ tune from a big name 3 letter place. BLEW up engine on dyno!!! F me!!! Another $10K for new long block, new tune etc, etc. Very costly.
Car is a 19Gt PP1 A10. Goes like hell, once into it, but by then I'm in "Go directly to jail" speed. Should have bought a stick anyway it seems. Oh well.

ok, hold up, devils advocate here…but you bought a used kit which REQUIRES a tune, a new kit comes with it. K member not needed, labor I understand if you can’t spend a weekend and a case of beer šŸ˜‰

big name tuner means nothing, because used parts have a risk element that nobody talks about…but any coyote with a blower is in the ā€œgo directly to jailā€ speed, that’s not a disqualifier and as for the manual, well that’s on you 😬

Interesting question, after doing the "full Steeda" thing and getting the chassis sorted out by local race car shop I decided i needed a bit more power to use the "new" chassis , so enter ESS, problem solved...or so it seemed, now the car has way ample power on a competent chassis but it was time for driver re-education and bigger stickyer tires...the wheels and tires were easy however the driver upgrade part was somewhat challenging as I was now intimidated by the "new" car...actually it scared me and I've had more than a few fast cars, both factory built and modded over the years...initially I thought that the F/I was too much for me to handle comfortably but after a bit cautious exploration of the limits of the car I got more confident in my ability to handle the beast without embarrassing myself or wrinkling the bodywork...so the only mod that I regret is not upgrading my meager skill set as a driver sooner.

+1 here.
Regretting (a little) for ISC N1 coilovers. While I investigated the topic enough, and picked what serves me the best by parameters, still some real life issues have been coming up. One experienced enthusiast friend gave me advice on this topic: to touch the suspension only as the last resort. Other part of my issue is that it’s not possible to develop the car for track and everyday use.
Yeah those look pretty bad ;P

Modifying the suspension isnt rocket science but track wants one thing and the street wants another, for sure.

For my part, I didnt need the 4 set of wheels.

BBK Varitune axleback. Too much of unpleasant frequencies inside the cabin at 2000k rpms. These frequencies were kind of cumulative. I drove with the axleback ok for several weeks, and then the next moment couldn't stand it anymore. Not even short rides.

Sound adjustments from very loud to too loud.

Was surprised there was a buyer for one.

The parts that I regret the most were:
1- The vertical links - Had the BMR with poly bushings - Hardly made any difference in dynamics of the car and worst part was the squeaking noises that kept coming back after 3 weeks everytime I greased them, so I went back to the stock ones and never looked back
2- I might get some push back on this but the Bilstein B6 set was a bad experience for me. They became noisy with H&R Sport Springs(Progressive Springs) after a month and on the second set(warranty replacement) I installed the stock springs and they still got clunky after a month or so.

Headers and diff bushing inserts.
...
Diff bushing inserts basically just transmit whine into the cabin.
I have steeda's softer, red polyurethane diff bushing inserts, steeda's polyurethane rear subframe bushing inserts, and the stock exhaust. The whine is very subtle even with the stereo off and it only happens in certain situations. It doesn't bother me or my wife. I do hear the torsen action loud and clear when applying throttle and making sharp turns or even when making wider turns (like making a left turn at a big intersection) and applying heavy power. I'm running BG ultra-guard LS 75W-85 with no additional friction modifier (it's unclear to me if the oil has friction modifiers in it already). I think the main reason mine is pretty quiet is because I have not solidly attached the subframe to the frame. And I noticed a significant improvement in handling when adding the subframe bushing inserts on my 40,000 mile, 11 year old car.

Modding in general on a DD. It feels and sounds great after you've boosted, tuned and so on and so forth. Plus the additional needed parts. But is a rabbit hole. There's always something else. I'm jealous of those people that can just leave things alone. Kinda. Lol

Yeah mine are BMR red poly, i can hear it pretty clearly on the highway with the windows up and the radio off. Looking at the design of the Steeda poly inserts i think they'd be a little better.

I changed the fluid and it got slightly less loud but its still there.

The mod I regret the most is installing the Watson cage and rear seat delete. Oh and I completely agree with everyone about the subframe and diff bushings I went with BMR aluminum ā€œbushingsā€ and it can get pretty loud in the car with the whine.

4 or 6 point setup? I’ve been eyeing their 6 point, but it’s a mod that would be down the road.
