For those who did not build and order a new S550 through Ford - but did buy a brand new vehicle and retained the window sticker - is the actual build date on the sticker?

There's lots of coding on the sticker - anyone know how to breaks down the various fields?

Yes, the blend date on top is the date.

Is it really? Going to look right now!

I don't see any dates[?]

Oh, it's actually on my PDF copy of the window sticker, assuming the leading 1 is just a ref code, my blend (build date) was 08/17/2015 :)

The month/year is also on the sticker inside the driver door

My car also has an actual build date on a card with the instruction manual

Are you referring to the plain white index card that was sealed up with the owners manual literature?

Yes, the blend date on top is the date.
Blend date and build date are not the same thing. Blend date is the date the vehicle was scheduled to be built, not the day the build occurred. Generally speaking they are the same, but it isn't guaranteed.

I guess it depends how you define "build date". Is that when assembly starts on the line, or when the engine is loaded, or when it comes off the end of the line?

I presume at the end of the working day the line just "stops" and then assembly resumes the next day....

Does Flat Rock work one or two shifts as standard per day?

They call it a "blend date", so I would think it's the day the car goes through final assembly.

I'd think they work 2 shifts, maybe even 3 shifts since they make like 300+ cars a day.
