Yeah, they really do a good job of pointing things out and explaining.

Yep good info and also the reason l don't believe in treating the first oil change as you would follow-on changes. Did my first at around 1100 miles.
So after seeing this are you going to follow-up and do another after the next change or hold off?

Well, glad I changed it...

Waiting for the posts that still say "don't waste your money on early oil changes".

Even if there wasn't wear, glad I got much better oil it in... AMSOIL SS 5w-20
Oh yeah this proves everybody wrong :hail:

not sure what I am reading here

more copper, boron,

less magnesium?

what's the prediction for not changing oil early and not using AMSOIL?

There were a few people here that ranted and raved that changing your oil early was wasting money. Just saying that no one knows until they do an oil analysis on THEIR motor. For me as you can see from the report it was well worth the money.

I'm not expert, but based on that analysis I am glad I did not have that junk sloshing around my motor. As for what particular oil, everyone's preferences are different but I prefer AMSOIL.

I'll probably do an oil analysis after every oil change for the heck of it.

A bunch of 11-14 guys got "the tick" after doing their first oil change early. There was talk of a special additive added to the crankcase from the factory and that doing your first oil change early was not recommended.

I dont know, on my 12 I use to change the oil every 8-9k miles. On my 15 my first oil change was at 9k and the dash oil percentage still showed life.

Your numbers mean nothing. They are a stand-alone measurement of what was in the oil (who's to say that stuff is bad?) at the time you changed it.

I'll say it, waste of money, and if you do it after every change, that's even crazier.

I don't know why people trip about oil. Besides changing at recommended intervals, and using a quality product, there's nothing to do.
