Only by me. I call it a moosestang. Because it gained weight and got wider.

Just tell them it makes more HP and Torque than the V8's of just a few years ago, including their GM's. Then ask them if they want to race on a track title for title. That should shut them up.
I've made a few V8 guys hate their V8's.

I am butchering the quote, but there was a fantastic quote in A Faster Horse: Some people drive a car to commute, I drive for the experience
Dude I am not saying this sarcastically. That quote is truly beautiful. That is definitely me. I get the finger daily but it's not because I'm being an asshole as much as I love to drive for the experience.

The only people who have dissed it are some of the people on this forum-mostly in jest and no biggie. But in person the only comments I've gotten are general like "What are you going through a midlife crisis or something?" "Don't Mustang's break down a lot?" "How much money do you make anyway?"
I got the " midlife crisis" comment a few times myself. I just tell em " hell no, I jumped the shark nine years ago, I'm just plain nuts"

Those are just people who feel as old or older than they really are. I'll probably have a sports car for as long as I can drive a car.

I was fairly sure I needed a supercharger, but then I got negative feedback saying I didn't need a supercharger

No negative comments yet, but one of my two standard replies will probably answer it depending on the severity of the remark:

A) Imagine a place where your opinion is highly valued... and go there. Because it certainly isn't here.

B) Opinions are like @ssholes... everybody's got one. You must be mine.

And for the "mid-life crisis" or "second childhood" comments which I have in general been getting most my life:

I've never left my first childhood... I'm still a Toys-R-Us kid. After all, the only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.

That is all...

I have a 15 DIB GT, after I got my car a good friend at work bought a 13 GT in DIB. No one at work can tell the difference between the two. I work at a car dealership as Technician with 20 other technicians who are car guys and they cant tell the difference. Dives me crazy. Bunch of fu****g idiots. I make it clear i think they are complete morons.

Guess those guys were never good at those puzzles where you had to find the differences between the two similar drawings.

To be honest the darker colors and white can easily be mistaken for some of the late model s197s.

Wow, the differences between 5th and 6th gen cars are enormous. Even my wife can spot the difference right away, and she is not what I would call a car enthusiast. She does like going fast, however!

Yep! Even Stevie Wonder could tell the difference. And I'm not even sure he's a "Mustang guy". ;)

But Ford techs can't at a dealership? The horror!!!

That is all...
I'm a Toyota tech. I'm sure ford techs could tell the difference. Most of the guys I work with are into imports:barf:
