I asked enFOURcer on another thread about the TS factory replacement BOV sounds. I noticed mine has 2 sounds that seemed like surge but...

looks like the rubber O ring is completed showing so its backed too far off. the large O-ring needs to be covered by the cap. I run mine at full soft just so the cap just covers the O-ring.
base on the photo. which is? left of right o ring?

I took another look at your picture and compared it to my bov.. This should help explain it I hope..

I did everything as everyone here suggested and the car still does not do a big woosssh. All I get is surge. Before the BOV I actually get the woosh from the intake. Could it be faulty??

Can you post pics of the install?
Sounds like a vacuum reference issue.

You could also try disassemble the bov and make sure everything is oiled with the recommended oil. If you don't have the instructions to do it you can download it from their website

I agree with this as well, take it apart and make sure everything is lubricated properly.

Hope your carefully with the internal springs. They cough me by suprised lol. I bought the turbosmart lubricant when I got my bov and took it apart and relubricanted it anyways. The instructions reads that you should do this every 6 months depending on location.

I also forgot to mention that after about a month having the bov on I heard a slight hiss coming from my maptap so I pulled it off and sure enough the o-ring had a rip in it. Went to my local auto store and bought a variety pack of orings.

I'll inspect it sometime this week. I didn't heard anything has from the map side. I think maybe the vacuum line since the line is a bit old.

Im pulling vacuum from the back of the intake and I get best results oddly enough from what others have posted by tightening the bov full tight then a half turn loose. You will get some surge at low boost between 2-6psi however thats on light throttle release. If you remove your foot abruptly it will still vent

I found out the problemproblem. It is the vacuum collapsed when it vacuum. My buddy replace it a beefy and on it woossshh when higher boost is builded.
