Greetings all,

I'm currently in the process of trying to install the Turbosmart BOV on my EB but the kit I ordered does not have any instructions. Does anyone know where to connect the vacuum line going to the BOV to?

MAP said they used the intake vacuum source. But it would be helpful to know which BoV you are using too. :)

I bought the BOV from MMR. I believe it is the same one MAP is selling. Do you have any reference on where that vacuum line is? I can't seem to find anything online about it.

So after you cut the line you just put the supplied boost/vacuum line and it stayed?
Yeah, I cut the line and installed the T fitting and put the hoses on. Everything is snug and I haven't had any issues with it yet.

Okay cool. I'm installing my Tial BOV tomorrow and I wanted to make sure I'll do it right.

Tricks you can use for support is put a small ziptie around every vacuum connection even if it's just for moral support. This will keep the line from blowing off in boost if the line is remotely loose on the T's.

So wait, I can add an aftermarket BOV to this car already? I don't like the "hiss" sound the best in terms of BOV sound, I like the splutter one I don't know how to explain it.

Somewhat like [ame=""]this [/ame]

That sounds like a HKS SSQV. I'm sure someone will adapt one for the Ecoboost shortly, it's an extremely popular valve in the import community.

That's how I see this car anyway, an import with a mustang shell. Whatever it is I love it though lol

This isn't the best video but this is how the Turbosmart one sounds:

If you like the "Flutter" sound, get a CAI with an open element style, non-sealed box, air cleaner setup and re-circulate the stock bypass. I have the JLT and it sounds more like the old SSQ than the Turbosmart does.
