A "lot" - no
There is also no need to do anything to the re-circ tube.
What CAI are you running?
I have the roush cai. I will continue to try to adjust it

Loosen the TS valve to where the bottom of the top is even with the O-ring. If you start loosening the valve, you'll see the O-ring once you start getting it loosened up pretty good. Adam has always recommended setting the TS valves like that. It seems like someone ordered a lower weight spring a while back and that resolved a lot their issues of flutter. I cannot remember if it was on here or on one of the Facebook groups.

If you can't find a satisfactory setting, try ordering and installing a lighter spring. Maybe EnFOURcer can elaborate on the factory spring within the unit and recommend what the lighter weight would be?

Even Adam can confirm this, you're going to get flutter on any aftermarket valve with the stock turbo. That's one of the reasons why Ford went with the fully electronic valve on it. If you put these same valves on a larger (aftermarket) turbo, you'd see the problem disappear. With the spool characteristics of the smaller stock turbo, it makes it difficult to remove all instances, albeit small ones, of compressor surge.
Correct and its not an issue.
If you are making more than lets say 5psi - YES its an issue.
at zero map and/or minimal pressure, you are not stalling the turbo as the drive pressure it always ahead.

With a stock air box, you would rarely hear anything. Open element CAI - you hear EVERYTHING including the re-circ port opening (which is often mistaken for surge).

I bought a different spring (lower spring rate) off of Turbosmart website. It got rid of 99% of flutter. I just don't hear them anymore.

Do you remember the color of the spring?
