I asked enFOURcer on another thread about the TS factory replacement BOV sounds. I noticed mine has 2 sounds that seemed like surge but...... i got no PHSss but more like Ppp Ppp
... The Turbosmart stock replacement valve can have some low boost momentary surge type noise on some vehicles with an intake (seems there are a lot of variance with these vehicles).
Two things are happening, you now hear the re-circ port opening through the intake (that's where it vents to), and there is not enough pressure differential to fully open the VTA port (the ports are progressive). So you have two very separate ports opening at different times - re-circ first then vta second as pressure dictates.
It is not stopping the turbo and not hurting a thing.

looks like the rubber O ring is completed showing so its backed too far off. the large O-ring needs to be covered by the cap. I run mine at full soft just so the cap just covers the O-ring.![]()
Which I ring is the indicator?
