Seems an intercooler will be my next investment. Best bang for the buck?
The best Bang-For-Your-Buck intercooler is the FFTec FMIC with the standard Street core. Great price, great performance.

It's been proven to support well over 500HP, plus we've backed it up with 122MPH trap speeds at the track and loads of performance data. See our testing regimen here;

Check out Levels Intercooler, it is a great cooler for the money. IMO it is only bested by ATM and alot cheaper

We are taking deposits on the next production run of ATM intercoolers. We have also listened to the masses and will be offering the intercooler in the base cast finish and dropping price to $659 plus shipping:headbang:

Remember an intercoolers job is:
1) to drop charge air temps to as close to ambient as possible
2) keep AIT low without heat soaking
3) recovering back to starting temps under deceleration
4) do all of the above with less pressure drop than stock

Many of our initial testers switched from other aftermarket intercoolers to ours with great success. As compared to stock the ATM IC is 93%efficienet vs 50% Efficiency stock in a 2-3-4 gear wide open throttle run. We will gladly offer up our intercooler for independent comparison testing in the above parameters...:first:

We should also have our one piece silicone charge pipes ready to go in a few weeks, they reduce leak potential by lessening hose clamps and feature smooth transitions, reduced volumes and murray double bead turbo seal clamps...

That intercooler just got more attractive for sure. Now how to convince the wife...

The drop in price is definitely going to net you some more sales. I clearly have proven multiple times your intercooler works well ;).

Radials - $450.00
Tune - $250.00
Intercooler - $500-$700

The last one is optional, but I recommend it.

Exhaust - $600-$1000.00

I would also get with BMR and grab some suspension goodies to help with launching.

I second the BMR stuff x1000. The lockout kits completely eliminated any hint of wheel hop for me.

Do you think there is any gain to ditching the cat with stock exhaust?

Tune is $250, if you have cobb already... $750 if not ($500 for hardware / $250 for unlimited tunes).

So $1,900 to 11... or $2,900 with exhaust... and extra goodies, maybe $3,500.

geez almost seems cheaper than hitting 11s with the v8
It is:D

I paid a hair over $24K. I have less than $26K into the car (not counting stuff that doesn't make it go fast like the brakes and "pretty wheels").

$26K to have everything I need to run 11's. I just need to get out there and do it.
