My Taobao-sourced kit is waiting for me when I get home. Probably won't be able to install until the weekend, but I'll post some pics/details.

Was that the super cheap one? or the $600 one?

Oh, and does the base unit read in addition to mp3's, m4a or wma? Modern audio devices should not be limited to mp3. My wife's Honda will read m4a no problem off a USB stick.

I ordered the more-expensive one (not the one that was also on Ebay.)

The kit is fairly complete, right down to the auxiliary HDMI input that connects to the back of the unit and can be secured with a screw. The instructions include good pictures, but most of the text is in Chinese. Still, it looks to be 95% plug-and-play. There are one or two cables that need to be crimped to existing wiring possibly. I'll need to see again what that particular bit was for (I think it might've been related to the back-up camera.)

The only fit-and-finish issue I noticed is that those silver bar parts that extend across the buttons feel a little loose, but I think once the backing is installed it will likely be a non-issue, or at least one that a dab of superglue should be able to fix up just fine.

My only worry was that the SD card (seen in SamsGT's pictures) seemed to be missing--turns out it was already installed in the unit. Of course, the card is installed into the interface module, so to swap it out (presumably to change or update the system and/or map data,) you would have to disassemble the system again.

I gotta ask.. I swear im not trying to be a asshole...

You guys that got the chinese version? Are you dissapointed in it? We are looking at a 42 page thread and hundreds of replies not to mention the threads that it SPAWNED just talking about these things. Almost every phone, tablet, laptop, and BS smartwatch has a camera.

Please upload some fuckin photos.

Its like your doing this amazing thing... but... while you can figure out how to replace a fuse, dissassemble your dash, re-wire your space shuttle, and cure cancer but you can't post a pic? We are chomping at the bit for pics of this shit and your holding out like mormon before marriage. Just the tip.... plz....just....touch it promise i wont tell!...

Also.. I hate posting pictures too. If you have android or tapatalk... you can simply download the app, login to the forums, and then hit upload take a photo and post RIGHT FROM THE APP Without ever touching a PC.. No harder than sending a text message or pic in text message.

Thanks you explorers with deep pockets you.

I'm almost 3k miles from home. My wife refuses to mess around with this. But I will post pictures once home.
Also, I have a very hard time posting pictures here. 1/2 the time they just won't upload. Screen shots do, but from my phone they don't. Not sure if a limit issue or not.

I'll post some pics of the parts splayed out on my table, but they'll be awfully similar to what SamsGt already posted a few pages back, as I haven't tried installing yet. I'm planning on this weekend for the install. I'll be sure to record any major events and provide pics of the final product once it's up and running.

Up close and detailed shots of the bezel would be nice.

After purchasing several of these kits and never receiving anything and getting a bunch of bs excuses, I finally got a shipping confirmation today for the ebay radio replacement. Will post pics and install instructions when it arrives.

lol seems some guys are getting mad..I installed the kit on Sunday and was so busy these two days sorry for the delay. I will post pics tonight, some feedbacks first:
Pros:
1. It looks nice and the big screen for back up cam is awesome.
2. The kit is plug and play, and you just need to tape unused wires.
3. Navigation works fine it's a software called iGo primo installed on the sd card. So if you can install another software you are able to select it in the system then use it.

Cons:
1. Screen gets scratches easily you don't want it to touch anything don't ask me how I know this..
2. Still some Chinese would show up perhaps in sync interface if I didn't remember it wrong.(actually a pro for me as I have some Chinese contacts and musics and they can be displayed instead of just some '...' in previous ford system)
3. There is a progress bar under the mustang animation at start up which I don't like.

Sounds pretty good. Do all the sync commands work still? Such as pressing the talk button and able to say "call X" or "play x song"? Any other weird kinks in the software?

I will try that later today. But once when I clicked 'voice command' on the screen it spoke Chinese to me..

I wish we had floating sticky posts so we could have a quick reference as to who bought what system. I have to keep jumping back to try and remember who has what system :). Maybe each documented install should have it's own thread with links from this thread? Just throwing things out there.
