You know it's a shame. We would probably all pay twice that if it worked. But my experience with goods like this is that the software never works right. They won't fix it and they don't care, even if you would pay extra they won't fix it. It's gotta work perfect with sync and everything or I'm not interested. The stock radio has a color screen which is better than a lot of cars and radios had not too long ago.

I had ordered this kit twice with no luck. I ordered it again last Sunday and continue to get the runaround and it has still not shipped. They must have only produced about 5 of these kits.
There is no shipping from China until after the 7th. It's there national holiday. After that, there will be delays.
Don't give up just yet.

These things might even be close to a "made to order" status. They only produce as many as they sell. That might also explain the long lead time.

I screwed things up. After like 5-6 hours finally I installed the screen and got it work. But when I tried to put everything back to order I left a wire uncovered and it touched the unit that has cd slot, then I saw sparks and then everything was down. So I spent another hour put back the 4.3'' screen now it just displays time and a black background, but fortunately back up view is still working. In short, I spent almost a day to break the infotainment unit.:frusty::frusty: Anyone knows what should I do? Maybe I need to take it to dealership let them take a look.

Sorry to hear.
I'd check the fuses first. Sounds like the display still works.
Strange that there would be a live wire after install and harness contected.

I did the same thing. I pulled all fuses from thr interior fuse panel one at a time, then did all the relays, tapping them a little before i reinstalled.

I hope the same works for you.

Word on the street is that Raxiom is working on a touch screen unit that looks factory and is completely plug and play.

That word has been out since I started work on the MFT install. I have no doubt that they are working on something. Question is when it will be released and for how much. Judging by Raxiom's latests nav systems it will be around the $700 range for not all that better quality. It is even possible that Raxiom simply acquired this $350 setup and is going to use it for production. (That is what they do. They do not design or manufacture most of their products)

That concerns me... I thought this kit was plug and play? How was there an exposed live wire that caused the short?

Does the Raxiom system or the Chinese versions add the ability to add preamp outs to add amps? Or is this just to add a bigger touchscreen and navigation?

Just adds touchscreen and nav. It does not change the headunit in any way.

It is plug and play, but those wires are there for additional possible features like front view camera etc..If I wrapped them up instead of just leaving them there...Ahhhhh...:frusty:
