I remember going into shipping areas in the late 90's and still seeing work environments with the naked lady magazines taped to the walls. We laughed at those even then, "old school" places that have been slowly ripped out due to the rise of the HR department. This situation reminds me of this very much and I bet its still around in the car repair environment. But to see it at a bigger dealers still shocking,they have to have an HR department who has to protect the company from liability from old people like this that might walk around slapping the female employees on the arss saying "Heya hunny". could we get away with just saying "meh, hes just an old guy with opinions" in that situation?

A technician at the dealership contacted me this morning after seeing the video. They know he does this. He's an older guy that thinks every modern car is all cheap plastic. I think the dealership just thinks he's funny.

I wonder if he knew he was being recorded? If not some education on technology would be in order. The man sounds miserable.

I'm pretty sure he knew it was recording. He seemed to be talking to the camera. Plus the screen lights up and it makes noises when it turns on. It's not hidden or anything, it's right under the mirror.

Im not the owner, this is a youtube channel I subsricbed to a while back.

I believe the dealership knows about it, but say. "Thats just how he is, he thinks all modern cars are crap."

You're right, he didn't seem to do anything to the car. However, his negativity is enough. Having worked in multiple shops and dealerships, I've worked alongside negative people like this and it's not worth it. As was already mentioned, employees are the face of any business- so even the lowest employee needs to have respect and some degree of positivity. There's plenty of people out there, he can be replaced.
