Leather Recaros are perfect in every way, 6 months in. Leather is very durable and the padding holds its shape well.

Chemicals guys stuff for the most part is no better than Meguiars professional line, often times not as good. Chemical guys takes ordinary products and puts in some perfume with flashy packaging and calls it a day. Look at guys who detail for a living, very few use CG. I have a lot of their products and not a single one is my go to. For leather seats I like Lexol cleaner / conditioner(2 separate products) or the Blackfire interior cleaner followed by Wolfgang conditioner.
another good option is CQuartz leather protectant, it is a coating that gives you another layer of protection. Very good stuff.
Before you take any advice, read up on reviews for all the stuff mentions and buy what you are comfortable with.

was my first time with it but so far so good, looks great. i decided to try the sprayable leather conditioner/cleaner instead of their two step cleaner and conditioner first because it was a little cheaper and only 1 step.
thanks, going to try one of theirs soon. i need a few items. I will check reviews . CG has made the outsides of my vehicles so wonderful and so easy to use. i order 5 items at a time amazon subscribe and save for 15% off and free shipping then remove them so i order what i want when i decide to. i agree not using any high priced wally world items, too much effort and tossed what i had.

need some bare bones and more micro fiber also. just need 2 more items:cheers: maybe some more wheel cleaner, 1gallon = 15 for 15 bucks, cant beat it, dang 1 more:lol:

5500 miles (or 9000km; i'm from Canada)...it is my daily commuter; not a single blemish! I'm really impressed with these cloth seats, along with their comfort and support.

No wear on my cloth seats, it's a DD (but no commuting) since May 2015.

The cloth seems a bit thicker/tougher than previous years. I've got my fingers crossed, this was an important update for me. My 2012 wore through the driver's side bolster within a year. Ford replaced the upholstery on my passenger seat because of a loose thread, but they wouldn't do the worn driver's seat. Every 2011 to 2014 cloth seat that I looked at had the same wear/rip on the bolster.

The chemical guys sprayable leather is pretty good. It works. You gotta use it sparingly. I usually spray it into one side of a microfiber, wipe leather, and then wipe with the clean side of the microfiber.

That said... I don't really recommend getting it. Chemical Guy's stuff is a bit overpriced unless you're buying by the gallon, and there you have to deal with the price of buying in bulk. Honestly most of Meguiar's products are practically the same thing, half the price, and can be bought at any walmart or auto store.
Meguiars is the bottom line in car care. The waxes leave haze.trim detailer stays sticky and runs down side of car, etc. They should take some of the money they spend on their car show with Mr Creepy, keep him away from you kids, and use it for product improvement.
I use a lot Chemical Guys products with good results.I find the prices to be very decent.

ehh...mine looks good for the most part - the edge of the seats are getting the wear marks where my wife and I get in and out of the car but the rest of the seat looks good!

With almost 20000k miles on the car, cloth seats are holding up amazingly well!
A little dirty atm, but no tears, discoloring, seams, or anything. Even as much as I hear of leather and whatnot, the cloth seats are still one of the favorite parts of the car!

Closing in on 5k miles and mine are perfect. Have kept the leather well conditioned and used the easy entry/exit and haven't had any snags or hangs.

I did take the seatbelt out of the guide on the side of the seat after seeing where some others were having an issue with the guide strap tearing the stitching.

I use Lexol conditioner only - no shine, residue or slickness and Connolly leather care cleaner only (I dilute it with water per directions). I clean the seats 3 times a year and condition 6. Looks great.

I know this threads a few months old but it seems like the vast majority of those that have the factory (standard) leather are experiencing proportionately more wear than those with the premier leather. And the cloth seat owners, with the exception of some pilling from the one set of pics...all say they are like new.

Still the case all around or are some of the cloth and premier starting to show wear?

Making me think twice if I really want leather that bad.

Thanks!

I have 5,500 miles on leather seats that came with my Premium GT. I have a professional job and take care not to drag sharp/metallic/abrasive objects across them. No sign of wear. The leather seems sturdy to me. I plan on conditioning with Kali Leather Life. Has worked well in previous cars.

1200 miles on my 2015 GT . No wear problems on the leather Redline Recaros. Yet, 200 miles on my 2016 GT/CS there is some minor lower bolster wear near a seam area. This area is known to get wear. Getting in &out of the car in a confined door opening area is the probable cause. Excessive rubbing on a very small area. The wear has not produced a break in the leather material. I find the leather in the S550 to be softer and thinner than my prior premium 2010 GT. It has the same feel as my 2014 GT/CS did. Overall i am satisfied , in how the leather on both my GT's is holding up. :headbang::cool:
