Has anyone made a thread asking for pics of cool 19s on Magnetic Mustangs? If not, is it cool if I start one? I find them really handy for getting ideas for wheels.

Forgestar cf5's and MPSS' will run me a little over 2500. So, you're probably gonna want to up your budget just a hair. 2k won't get you very far with quality wheels and tires. At least not on a heavy ass mustang that requires massive tires.

Then I would focus on noise and comfort first. That will dictate wheel & tire width, which will then impact cornering and cost.

I honestly wish I knew the answer to this. Maybe some member (that has gone through many tires) does know and will post. Far's as I can tell, there seems to be a relationship. Just look at customer reviews at TireRack and you will see the correlation. Also, summer tires have more complaints about noise, but that could just be bc they are normally wider tires. It makes sense - there is a bigger contact patch that "drones" on the road. Also, near-slick "racing" tires seem to be the loudest. Another correlation seems to be that A/S tires are quieter than summer tires.

I would say it is a function of many things: spring rate and tire sidewall height for starters. It is one reason I am considering 18" wheels - to maintain some decent sidewall height as a DD car. It is impossible to get ride comfort AND fast cornering from the same suspension. I suppose the easy compromise is wide A/S tires alone. Cornering is faster simply from the wider tire.

And don't forget tire wear. Summer tires don't come with tread life warranties, so don't be disappointed if you don't get the mileage you expected.

What sizes/combo are you getting for that amount? If you are getting a 19X10 square set up with 275's or more, PM me where/how you are getting them so low. :hail:

18x10 cf5 through n4s... I'm not sure what or if there's a price increase for 19s. But 285/35/18 mpss' are about 1200 from tire rack
