The ACM has a different program?

Aliexpress was a bust. After all the messaging about being in stock, get a message this morning: sorry friend as we check now, there is no stock please tell us how many units you need and we'll contact supplier.

Canceled order, already received refund, so that's a ray of sunshine on a gloomy transaction. Seems they hold your payment until the item ships.
Next steps:
A. Focus system
B. Stock Mustang screen ( as I feel aggiestang is gonna ruin my thoughts of any Ford 8' working) what's the bad news??
C. Contact Zestech direct ( All sellers have said they are the manufacture)

Looks like it works! Bad news? Climate controls don't work? Sync doesn't work? Or no way to control ACM?

Sheesh talk about holding people in suspense haha

I also got emails from aliexpress after a few more questions this morning early telling me they out of stock. Which seller did you buy it from on there?

Ok in order to get the unit to turn on, you have to change 2 pinouts from on spot to another...Not to bad considering the reward right? Here is the list of things that dont work.

1. Ac controls on screen completely unresponsive
2. Unit senses you are in drive at all times
3. ^ means i couldnt check bluetooth or much of anything wireless
4. The backup cam would work but would also require swapping 2 more pinouts.

Other than that...lol. good news is, the head unit seems to behave just fine. I had full sound and radio worked!

For number 2 and 3 that could be as simple as a pin reconfigure or a reprogram to disable the lockout on the screen. That is great that everything else works with minimal effort! That is probably a side effect of having an escape screen in a mustang. You need to check the lead for the vehicle speed sensor.

I was reading diagrams and pinouts til like 2am so i finally gave up. Im sure my refreshed brain may be able to work a little more magic. Ya i am not too worried about 2 and 3. My main concern is the ac controls. I am missing so many wires there. It may come down to the fact that the manual ac system isnt on the canbus network so the screen cannot talk to it.

Personally I am not concerned at all about the ac controls. If we can fit the screen in the base bezel then those controls will be redundant. 2 & 3 are the biggest issues that I see currently.

The in drive all the time issue should be a pin config. Or just ground the wire that controls it. Speed sensor I'm sure. Since manuals have same feature.

On screen ac controls: no big deal. Would be nice.

Sync? And BT? After drive issue wonder how operate.

Found only one for a 2015 mustang LKQ wants $500 for it. Screen and module. Problem is not returnable... I'm tempted.

Wasn't one of the "complaints" on the premium models the lack of a method to turn off the fan without having to press through a few buttons on the screen?

If this ends up being compatible with Sync(3?)/BT, will modifying some of the pins and dremeling the base bezel to fit the 8" screen be the only modifications needed?
