the wider the wheel the wider a tire which means increased contact patch which helps the overall stance of the car, thus improving handling, and laying down power as well. Plus 10" all around means you can run the same size tire front and rear which means you can rotate ( depending on the tire) which helps prolong the life of the tire thus saving you money as well.

Another reason a lot of customers like the 10" for the front is because those are usually the deep concave profiles. While the 20x8.5/9" fronts are semi-concave.

Deep concave all around looks :headbang:

Phuck yeah it does!!

No offense to the many wheel vendors on here, you guys have great stuff and offer amazing support to members. And no offense to the members who buy the particular wheels, but when I see a wheel setup with a bitchin' rear wheel with killer concave-edness and beefy tires then look at the front and it looks like it was just put there so the car can roll, it bugs me a little. The car has 4 wheels/tires and I think they should all look equally aggressive, both for aesthetics and for performance.

The deep concave looks bad as hell on the front, and there is absolutely no fitment issues with a 20x10 40mm offset, thanks Paul at N4SM! :headbang:

Hot damn that is sexy! I'm not a fan of black wheels, especially black on black because the wheels can become lost in unfavorable light. But that is a beautiful car and a damn good photo.

Out of curiosity I have to ask:

Why fight to fit a 10" wheel all around, potentially not have the center caps fit, and only throw a 275 on them:confused:
Friend of mine(Toothless on here) went with 10.5" all the way around with a square 285 setup. Looks good and flush with fenders.

This /\ ..........(fixed a little error).

Plus there are a few more tire options in 275 plus options taller than 27". 285/35/19 is popular but can be a little too short especially for those guys running 3.73 gears.
Thanks Grimace. I calculate the 285/35/19 to be 26.8" diameter. So what is the relationship of wheel/tire diameter and gear ratio? Why is 26.8" too short for the 3.73? I drive a 2015 GT (non-PP) with 3.55. The OEM 18" wheels and 235/50/18 Pirelli's are 27.25" diameter (square set-up). I want to go 18" but much wider - say 275 front and 305 back. What do you recommend?

It really isn't... I have 285/35/19 on my GT PP, and it wasn't a noticeable swap. I can still hit 60 in second, and my speedo (digital) is off by 1 mph @ 70.

Thanks! 20x10 +40 on all four wheels 295/30 up front 305/30 out back
Doing the same setup  ....Are you running springs yet? Plan on going with steeda progressives w/1" spacers so center caps will fit the front. Hoping I don't run into any clearance issues with the progressives drop :ninja:

Yes put Steeda progressive. I also have 5mm spacer up front with no clearance issues.
