I threw a set of BBK 1 3/4" long tubes on my car a couple months ago and wasn't planning on going FI and I got a great price on them. I decided recently I'm going to try and reach 650+rwhp with either a Whipple or Paxton setup. Would there be a problem with running 1 3/4" as opposed to 1 7/8" with a blower? Or would it just be a little less power? I wouldn't think so considering cars run blowers on stock setups? The car has a full 3" exhaust, no cats, after the LTH also.

That's what I was figuring, but I figured I'd ask anyways.

I'm going to be pulling the trigger on a kit in roughly 2 months. Until then I'm going to be taking care of a few more suspension upgrades. I'm torn between Whipple and Paxton. The "Beefcake Special" Paxton kit you have looks perfect for me, I just haven't been able to see any feedback on how the kit performs or how much trimming is needed on the install is on the 2015. I know the 11-14 needed a decent amount, which is fine, but I'm just trying to know ahead of time before I get into it.

15 is less than the 11-14, as far as performance, it's the #1 selling kit for the 11-14's, we typically go one pulley down out of the gate, should be a solid low to mid 600rwhp kit on a safe tune out of the box

for a very good price

What needs to be trimmed? I know the coolant tank gets moved which is no big deal. I also am torn between vortech/paxton and procharger.

I have ordered the Paxton kit myself and it should be coming in this week. I am going to have a dyno run done tomorrow to establish a base line. Once the kit is installed and the tuning done, I will have it checked again to show the difference. My testing will be done on a Mustang dyno so my numbers will be lower but the power increase should be consistent no matter which dyno is used. I am also going to take photos of the install to post for those that are interested.

Terry spoke very highly of this kit. I am anxious to see what it yields. FYI, I will be all stock except for an h-pipe.

So they got rid of having to cut up and reassemble the PCV system?

What about having to cut and run new auto trans cooler lines?

Is this small cut in the fan piece to make room like the 11-14 kits?

No trimming of the intake manifold cover?

I'm just curious because I installed one of your paxton kits on my friends 14 and those were the things that stick out to me that I wasn't a huge fan of.

I also am debating between a procharger and a paxton. I think the procharger looks way better underhood (off to the side, no tubing running everywhere, coolant overflow not blocking the spark plug access) but i think the paxton has a better bracket/tensioner adjustment design (for pulley swaps) and retains the vacuum pcv (atleast it did on the 11-14) compared to the procharger which moves it infront of the blower.

Lastly, will the paxton/vortech intercooler fit a car with adaptive cruise? I know there are extra sensors and a different grill in the lower fascia if you have them.

the fan and front fascia is what I reference when talking about 'cutting'

the front bumper does not need to be trimmed on the back side, and the fan no longer needs to be modified, just a little piece off the top for the cai kit

as far as pcv and engine cover, the engine has not changed, the kit is identical in that aspect

I'm not sure if any of the installs we have done had "adaptive cruise", we haven't run into an issue yet, but I don't know if that's something we've even looked for / encountered as it has not been brought up that anything was in the way,

i'll have to check with my tech and see if he's come across that

Much appreciated!!! Sounds like some decent improvements were made.

Just to clarify, you don't have to mod the auto tranny lines anymore?
