Just put my corsa on today. LOUD lol way louder and more high pitched than i was expecting. It sounds awesome though i love it! Very unique, it sounds way more exotic than a borla or magna flow. Amazingly its quiet and tolerable in the car which is the best part. It seems like all the noise is pushed out the back and doesn't resonate inside the car.

Question for everyone? Of all the systems mentioned which ones do not pass CA drive by noise rules ? Only one I know is the Ford Racing by Borla Sport. Which says not for sale in CA. Of course I am in CA and have this exhaust which I do like a lot. I have had on my 5 Mustangs Ataks, Corsa Extreme, MBRP, Rousch and a few others. To me Rousch were the loudest. Flowmaster deepest but terrible drone. Loved ATaks but hate the rolled tip. Love the black tips on the Ford Racing Sports.

I'm planning on supercharging sometime in the future, I'm leaning whipple at the moment but I'm waiting to see how different kits/tuners are working for people.
Jtb & novi 2200sl > everything else in the sc options. ;)

Corsa xtreme is great, in 6th gear when maintaining the same rpm, you cant even tell the car has exhaust. Step on the throttle and all hell breaks loose. Lets just say it was WAY louder than I thought it was from just looking at vids online lol..

Under full throttle it almost sounds like the car just has a dumped x pipe with no mufflers lmao, I love it. The corsa mufflers are pretty much pure straight through. I think all the chambered shape housing does is kill drone

If anything though, I like the way it sounds when driving normal around town, very strange but to me it sounds eerily similar to a 99-04 4.6 4v with something like borla stingers. I guess thats part of the reason I cant get enough of the exhaust note even at part throttle :)

What has me worried about this exhaust is the quietness people are talking about when cruising lol. I want to always hear my exhaust, I don't want it to be non-existent while cruising.

I just need to find someone close by to listen to their corsa xtreme.

I meant specifically for the user hybrid. I get its not for everyone. But i also know a lot of people dont because they are scared of the idea of breaking the law. Its not that big of deal really, i dont think. I cant remember the last time ive had a catted daily driver or weekend car. Its probably been 20 years. But i can say ive never had a smell issue, unless i go sit on the ground behind the car running. Hah
Sorry I didn't see your quote/question for me.

Umm... no particular reason. Not concerned about emissions/getting 'inspected' every year after the 5th year (law in Australia). I know a guy that'll sign off on it easy, been doing it for my EvoX for the past 2 years. I suppose it's been from what I'm reading in terms of slight noise level difference and smell etc. Haven't bought it yet, plenty of time left before I take delivery. Gonna be worth the year long wait that's for sure!

I heard it sounds good but idles low/ close to stock is it true
The S Type is much louder at idle. It is right on the edge of being obnoxious for me. No noticeable drone but it is loud everywhere. At 60-70 on the highway it is considerably louder than stock (3.73s). I'd prefer it to be a little quieter but it does sound nice. I actually feel bad for my neighbors at cold start in the morning. Only have about 100 miles on it with the S Type right now.

The only time ive ever had an issue with the catless smell is if i was to go sit/stand behind the car with it running. Even then it wasnt horrible. You might smell it with the windows down on a windy day. Ive had catless on my weekend cars and daily drivers for the past 20 years. No issues.

Hmm... fair point. You think I should just go catless then?

I do want the deep tone that ARH seems to have over the Corsa. However I'm also equally concerned of how most people say they are much louder than videos.

Anyone that has a full ARH catless/catted, how are they when driving normally under 3000rpm?

Thanks for the input. In a few weeks my neighbors maybe upset. Lol

I totally think catless is the way to go. Fast, loud, ugly, all subjective terms. Its a v8 either way its not going to be very quiet unless stock. My thoughts are go big or go home. :p

The Borla Atak is the loudest Ive heard on a mustang that doest have long tubes. As a matter of fact, my 2015 with the Atak's is louder when you get on it than my friends 2014 with long tubes and straight pipes after his x-pipe.
And it sounds oh so good. Music to my ears every time the windows are down.

Its only quiet when you're giving a c*nt hair worth of gas to keep the rpms steady, let off and let the revs fall and its loud, or (of course) give it some gas and its loud. When you go over like 70% throttle it sounds like an open x pipe

Heres a little vid of mine, gonna try and film some driving vids soon
