Okay I need serious help! So I have a corsa double hpipe I loved the tone but I needed more sound it almost sounded stock I got Steeda axle backs now the car is too loud the idle and start up sound so nice but I’m always on the gas but with this setup it’s just way too loud for full throttle especially in the 10 speed it’s just consent noise so what are my options, maybe throwing back the stock mufflers? But again I want something in the middle, not too loud but also not quiet, how it was with the hpipe any thoughts or ideas or maybe something I can add on to the current setup to quiet it down again going fast in the stang is just not an option anymore thank you

Have you still got a resonator?

Yes I still have the stock resonator and mufflers in the garage

My previous car had long tube headers, h pipe and corsa xtreme...was very loud..I put in a custom built resonator and it toned it down from drag car loud to a nice loud.

I had the same problem. (Roush) Axelbacks with an x-pipe was unbearable. I ended up putting the resonator back with just the axel backs. Much more liveable.

Ahh okay maybe I should do the same, this setup is nice but man it’s just impossible to go fast without being noticed and there’s a lot of cops around my area I don’t want that much unwanted attention

Magnaflow makes the Tru-x resonated X pipe that apparently is made to tame overly loud exhaust. Might be worth checking in to. CJ’s carries it.

Don't worry soon you'll lose your hearing and it will sound great. I just put a steeda axleback on with a steeda h pipe. After it was installed yesterday I listened and wanted to put the stock mufflers back on. I went for a long ride today and I love the sound, quiet when u drive normal and when you get on it. It's the sound of the coyote gods I'm loving it I just had to spend some time to get used to it. Enjoy.

A pair of Vibrant 1794s (if you're running 3" pipes) will tone it down some. Added them when I was running ARH long tubes with direct connect to Corsa Xtremes. Brought the volume down some as well as killed the trumpet tone and reduced rasp. The MF Tru X will kill the volume down to almost stock like if you're wanting that quiet.

I used this as my guide to add them right after the mufflers in the straight section before the double x. They were 12" long so fit perfectly.

You could go with an aftermarket resonator. Cleans it up without being as quiet as the stock one.

I'm sorry I just got carried away cause I loved the new sound I would put the stock resonator back in and you'll probably be ok.
