You can see how the Kooks mid pipe steps down. The resonator also has narrow outlets compared to the MBRP 3” Exhaust and you can see how I had to and and weld the 2.5-3” coupler at an angle.

My situation is likely different than yours (I have an 18) but Kooks sells 1 7/8 that bolts up directly to the stock resontator. It can be as loud as I want (track exhaust mode is stupid loud) and quiet is very reasonable.

18 as well with catted ARH coming... but direct connect to Corsa so very possible one of these solutions could be in my future

My current combo in signature is whisper quiet inside the cabin of the car. WooHoo!

So here is a sound clip with warm start, revs and some drive bye. Again this is Kooks 1 7/8” headers catless with 12” resonators welded inplace of the cats and Borla Touring resonator with 3” exhaust pipe after the resonator to 3” straight through VMS Racing mufflers same design as MagnaFlow but cheaper.
