Alignment done, shop said the camber is nonadjustable

as long as the rear springs were installed correctly, let them settle for a week or two and get it realigned else where. -2 degrees on either end are not going to wear your tires on this chassis. just make sure your toe is correct (slightly out)

It is showing the view from the rear looking forward to the control arm, etc. that is depicted in the picture that is viewed from the front.

Then why show a picture from the rear if you can't even see the adjustment bolt? I think you just wanted to show off your pimp Steeda parts.

this kit is $20 on amazon, don't understand alignment shops that do not stock all the alignment products on the market. This gives you 1.75 degrees in either direction in the front.

:lol: The bolt right above the swaybar link is the rear camber adjustment. The slot is in the cradle, not visible from the outside. The typically lazy alignment people I run into don't like to read or work to hard. It why I have string, a tape measure and a $21 camber gauge

I've lowered the car on Steeda Ultralight springs and had the alignment done but the camber is still off factory specs on front and rear right corners. The shop said the camber is nonadjustable and they couldn't do anything about it. Is that correct? Should I be concerned with a premature tire wear?

Hey, as mentioned in pm the rear camber is absolutely adjustable. Let's have a more S550-friendly shop take another shot at your alignment specs based on the sheet I sent you

I'll be doing a string self alignment here in a week or two after my springs are done settling in. If the front camber is too far off, I'll try some bolts. How well do those hold over time?

Actually, it's the bolt on the other side of the camber arm, towards the differential (in front of the sway bar mount in Todd's photo). And if we have to be honest, the rear camber adjustment is a PITA. Ford wanted a compact rear suspension at all costs.

I know eccentrics are a bit of a PITA... seem like they don't want to go at all, or turn too much... but patience, I guess, is a virtue. Beats the daylights out of making a slot out of the mounting hole in the strut! Thanks for the info.

And Todd15's got it right. Most alignment guys are lazy. My guy who always did my T-Bird closed up. Looks like I'll be doing my own now. Tired of trial and error with alignment shops. Lots of "trials" and lots of "errors". And I won't even mention "lots of dollars" and poor results.

Around here, 4 wheel alignments at a shop that knows what they're doing start at $80. If you want them to set the camber? Add $20 front and $20 rear. I'll learn to do them myself and save that money for parts.

would you say having a total toe of .10 for the front of the car and having a total toe of the rear of the car of .21 is pretty good? I'm going off the specs ToddFastback provided.
