No, you're right...that would be expensive.I'm sure the repair bill for breaking that pretty DCT or that TT6 will be way cheaper than a built Coyote.
But then its just a question of how much disposable income you want to throw at your hobby. After 10k, 15k, 20k, 25k, 35k, 50k...I don't think you'd be second guessing how and why you're modding your car at that point let alone concerned with how you could've saved some money on another platform.
You pick your poison depending on what platform you choose to play with. Just like the GTR guys and their dual clutch issues, beyond a certain point, modding gets expensive.
