Thought it would be interesting to see what colour is the favorite.

BTW - the state selection did come out as I expected

I've gone with Oxford White, manual GT fastback.

I was very tempted by Magnetic and Triple Yellow, but I ended up going with white.

I'm from South East QLD.

Deep Impact Blue.

(Just like the Maisto model sitting on my kitchen bench).

Triple Yellow was my second choice.........looks great with the black leather interior.

I'm thinking Race red, but Triple yellow would be my second choice, manual GT fastback. I wonder how many will be floating around Sydney.

Magnetic GT manual fastback ordered- Brisbane.

Thought about so many colours and have been totally confused. Every colour has it's advantages. Finally had a family vote and Magnetic won out!

I hope I don't like Competition Orange when I see it, as I was still teetering when ordering!

Not sure about mods as yet. Just want to enjoy the car!:clap2::clap2:

I'm In SA and I've ordered a Race Red V8 fastback manual.

Other colours seriously considered were Comp Orange and Ingot Silver.

I decided the silver would be too conservative and I'd always be apologising for the orange. The red to me is a classic colour for this type of car. I think it looks great in all lights.

The drivetrain was a no brainer. Had to be a V8 and had to be manual.

It also had to have a roof, although I would have liked a sunroof.

Mods I am considering (spending time on this forum could prove expensive) are mostly to the trans and suspension.

I like the idea of the MGW short shift. Looks beautifully engineered and would make every gear change a delight. It would also mean no missed changes around Mallala or up Collingrove.

Steeda's lowered springs and sway bars plus their anti tramp kit look good too.

I want to hear the exhaust first hand before deciding about that but delegating the suitcases looks sensible as long as it doesn't develop a drone.

I have ordered custom plates for the car too.

Anyway roll on December, like all life changing things there's a nine month gestation!

Oxford White EB auto. Ordered in Ballarat. I think it will look good with a custom blue OTT stripe (not too dark). I'd love the GT but this is a daily drive.
Looking at the kw/kg. ratio and torque, this will be grunty enough for me.
I approached the dealer in March 14 so the wait is ridiculous! Hey, I'm patient!

I've just joined this Forum.

Wow! All I can say it's awesome!

I'm from NSW and I've ordered a Black GT 5.0 Fastback Auto. I'd prefer manual but my wife, who gave her blessing on the basis she has to be able to drive it, went Auto.)

Already I've found at least 2 choices to get rid of the bonnet prop with either a Steeda Kit or Redline Kit. Redline seems cheapest from CJ Pony Parts.

The other mods I was thinking about are:

1) Borla Ford Racing cat back exhaust system with Black Tips; I saw (heard) this in a Brentspeed video, but I'm open to another brand.

2) Strut brace.

If some group buys do go ahead I wouldn't mind being involved.

Haven't been this excited since I ordered my R-Spec!

My sales guy got replaced at my Ford dealer and the new guy sent me an email today that said Race Red and White are "no cost" paint colours and all the others attract a "prestige Paint fee" of $950. I panicked for a bit thinking the previous guy might have stuffed up my order but thank goodness that hasn't happened.
It actually made me think of going from black back to Race red or white which were high on my original choice list.

His price list for the GT Convertible Auto was above $71 K. Good luck to those that want that vehicle.

so prestige paint is now $950 lol? We were all told $500 up until this point, that's what website says. Its also been updated and race red and white are indeed no cost

Like I said, that's what my dealer said today, but my overall price will be $60490 on the road, which is actually pretty good I think regardless of how they do the math. (GT 5.0 Fastback Manual Black)

Maybe Graziano had to retire causing he wasn't charging enough for paint?
