Yes, yes you are!

Luckily this problem is easily remedied with large throttle openings. Repeat several times for maximum enjoyment. :like:
Thanks people for your suggestions will take them on board. LOL

just to clarify. I just got the car back from having the intake manifold replaced
and was going home for xmas, putting along the highway around 100KPH with a tail wind may have helped.

I have kept a log from new and worst is 23.2L/100, best 9.4L/100 and average is 16.5L/100. More than happy with that.

I have kept my trip computer 1 from day 1, and trip computer 2 for every refuel

im treating the tripcomputer 1 as some kind of precious "never to be touched" setting, which one day if I accidentally push, i ll have a cry :cwl:

I feel like I'm doing something wrong lol. I average mixed city/highway 25 (rounded) mpg or approximately 9.45L/100km. Manual, 3.73 gears. Granted I'm gen 2 but I don't think it makes that much of a difference. My fuel consumption went down after break-in, considerably. Lowest I've seen is about 22L/100km if I converted correctly - or about 10.7 mpg.

dumb question, that fuel economy bar thats show 28.5,
is that showing the fuel economy since the last time you turn the engine on?
mine seems to always start at 17

and
question:
does auto rev matching mode use extra fuel,
as sometimes when I down shift, the blue fuel economy bar goes up but sometimes it stays at 0?

It'll use more fuel than at idle because the revs are higher but that's about it. But as for making a difference to economy for the 1.5 sec the revs rise, unloaded, IMHO very unlikely.

It was for a specific trip that started and ended on a highway. So pure highway driving. Was, as I said, pleasantly surprised.

12.7 combined over 7,000 Klms

Seen it as low as 8.1 Highway 110.
