No worries, and I think you and @murick are probably pretty close to their reasoning, but I still stand by that it brings more brand loyalty and value to offset whatever that cost is. Letting the 3rd party market thrive is what has kept people coming back for more over the decades… yes it’s a business, but this brand was built around cars for everyone, and I’m pretty sure we’ve been customizing since the beginning.Got it, my fault I totally misunderstood your post. Maybe Ford doesn’t think it will add value to the brand? Who knows. These brands are so protective of their IP and the vendors they partner with are usually very protective of their ability to use that IP (almost exclusively in some cases). Makes it tough (if not impossible) for new folks to break in for sure.
