The California Bay Area is in the middle of a fairly heavy rain storm, been in the middle of a pretty bad drought so rain has been little to none since I bought the Mustang.

This is the first time I've been able to test the snow/rain mode in an actual heavy storm and I'm blown away by how amazing it is.

First thing I noticed is a loss of torque in normal driving, which makes sense don't want to spin the tires. As I drove I noticed it was more than that, it actually feels like the car is trying to compensate for the slick road. The car feels heavier, more planted, and even on the PP tires they just stuck to the rain soaked road with no spinning. Even when I gassed it a lil around a corner just to test it.

I'm really surprised, the car actually felt more planted at normal speeds in the rain than it does on dry roads. I'm actually having a hard time believing my Mustang handles the rain so well.

I need to drive my GT PP from San Jose up to Santa Rosa on Sunday. If it's raining badly, I will give this a try and report back my thoughts, too.

I picked up my car the beginning of January and it seems like we have had a snow storm every 4 or 5 days since. I gave used snow mode more than anything else.

It works extremely well with winter tires. Limits power to what ever the traction will provide and the stability control keeps the car going straight.

Snow/wet mode was fantastic. The car felt very confident in the pouring rain, through puddles, etc. It was actually a pleasure to drive in the bad weather thanks to the Mustang's capabilities. :hail:

Love the rain mode in bad weather. Had to use it twice in bad rain storms (no snow in Houston) and the car just goes where it's pointed with no fuss at all.

All season tires probably help too, no PP available on verts.

Look at the people down South. :D I see it coming that you guys rent a snow canon only to test the "snow/wet" mode.....

It feels like there's not only a more conservative map for the throttle pedal, but there's also some lag from throttle inputs.

I think my GT has handled some heavy rain days very well in normal and sport modes too. Gotta love having a fresh set of tires.

I tried it today due to the heavy rain here in Atlanta. It worked very well, the whole car feels detuned especially in terms of torque at all RPM range. Definitely a good safety feature.

I have to agree from a snow perspective.

I am driving mine daily this winter except when we get >5 inches of snow (Then I go to my 4x4 Superduty). This morning the roads are completely snow covered with about 2 to 3 inches of fresh snow last night. I drove my wife's Denali AWD last night to dinner and was slipping and sliding all over including a big unintended fishtail where she accused me of "playing". This morning in the Mustang it was a little slow from a couple stops as my car was looking for any available traction but it felt very stable and in control. Yes, I agree, snow/wet mode is amazing.

Mine is in winter mode in the garage until spring. Can't wait.

Had many opportunities to try to snow/wet mode.

I am not sure what it does for me, as i drive a manual. i know that it's supposed to change the shiftpoints for automatics.

that being said, i guess it does get overzealous with the traction control, as i notice that when I forget to turn it on, I easily will do a donut at street corner with snow/ice covered roads.

I used it today to drive to work. But i do notice something weird. I noticed that whenever i do put the car in snow/wet mode, and when i get to my destination, there is a strong rubber-burning smell on the outside of the car.

i thought it was a coincidence, but it has happened once too many for me to ignore. Anyone else having same results? Mine is a EB premium with 201A.
