Hoping someone has a picture or knows. I have the typical broken intake manifold flap connection. I can’t believe you need a complete intake manifold for this relatively small issue. Does anyone know what might have broken here or have pictures of good one? See pictures. This is right side (passenger). Looks like something would be staked was think maybe some tack weld. Any thoughts?

Do you need to do a smog test in your area? If not, you could always get a tune to lock them out or swap to a cheaper intake manifold. I have mine at home and might be able to get a picture to see what it looks like

I thought it was usually the internal of the shaft breaking on these?

The guy on this forum posted this video, maybe it helps?

Thank you... that was it. Wrong side, but assume it is exactly same. Exactly what I thought it was swaged or pinned over. Also don't think I want to tack weld it as to much heat is generated. Lock out might be easiest way to go.

IMRC‘s are not required for smog, so don’t worry about that. You can remove the intake take the IMRC’s out and put the intake back on or just upgrade to a better intake.

I have a good 2015 intake it only has 28k miles on it. I installed a 2018 intake on mine for the performance. I would sell it if you needed one.

I thought they throw a code when they aren't working? Here having a check engine light on fails

Pulling you’re imrc’s will not throw a code removing the plugs and sensors will, but if you remove the actual physical imrc‘s and retain the electronics, it won’t throw a code It won’t even know that the flaps aren’t there.
