Do yall like vmp or whipple? I know whipple is more top and vmp is more low/mid heavy, but based off dynos it seems very similar

They are the same now...VMP doesn't sell the 2650 stuff anymore. Just re-branded Whipple. Edelbrock still does as far as I know. Magnuson/Roush would be the 'other' option.

I dunno. It seems like the Whipple makes a little more power up top but I haven't seen enough independent testing to determine anything

Honestly I would just buy whichever one I could get a better deal on. 12psi on e85 it will probably come down to how the rest of the car is setup.

Its the same blower now. The vmp has a couple add on's and if its for a 550 it has the round t body from the 650 kit. No surging at idle issues and flows more air

I have never been surprised by what mine does when it gets loose. It is very very predictable. That being said, I have grown up with mostly rear wheel drive vehicles and in the winter driving them in the snow. I have a lot of seat time with limited traction and i know how to handle it when it gets loose. I see a lot of these accidents where people do a burn out or are driving aggressively and the car gets loose, and I figure they have probably come over from the front wheel drive crowd and it is a big difference. I think most of the reputation of "crowd killer" that the Mustang gets is from Honda guys coming over from their little Type R V-tec and get into a Mustang and have no idea what they are doing. I have had my car break loose on the highway at 70 mph and I knew exactly what it was doing and how to get it back in line. YRMV.

Hey don't be hating on us honda guys! My s550 was my first rear wheel dive car with any power in almost 20 years but I will agree its very predictable when you get it sideways. I started slow amd kept breaking it loose little by little until I found its limits. I don't even think about it any more.

Well installed my stage 3 vmp kit this weekend. Not a hard job but whipples instructions blow. You spend more time trying to figure out if they updated the kit and not the instructions, bolt lengths in the kit that dont match the instructions etc. Car runs like a raped ape. Very happy. Thanks for everyone's input
