Driving today with the windows, noticed the car is making a growling noise from the engine. It is RPM dependent, but sounds like total rpm not 1/8th of the rpm. It seems to be coming from the blower, or somewhere in the front. I need to look a little harder when i get home, could have been something falling down in the brackets somewhere. It sounds like putting a playing card on spokes of a bicycle, seems to be louder at lower rpm but that might be because engine/exhaust is louder with rpm. Any ideas?

Never mind I guess. I took the air filter off the blower, no more slack than it came with. Inspected all areas I could see around the belt. Put the filter back on, started the car. It was still making noise, maybe the water pump area or the blower. Drove it a little, noise still there. Shut it down, went back in to work. Decided during lunch to limp home and get the truck. No noise, it is gone. Hopefully there was a zip tie or something I couldn't see that I'd now gone.

I don't know if they are, it is oil fed. That was one thing I was going to check at the house. But it quit. I did touch the blower, didn't seem hotter than normal, figured low oil it would get hot. At this point I am wondering if something was behind a pulley and it was rubbing, then broke free. It was definitely in sink with rpm.
