I got the Exotic Pony Mods plug in modules.
Got me thinking for a brief moment that I could get these plugged into the oem usa lights, but I think I read somewhere that the usa internals are not compatible with euro spec cars? Seems a massive faff to have to swap the internals over. I know JW Racing will install the 2 amber / 3 red light bars into a UK spec taillight, but not so sure on the USA spec ones. Think I'll shoot them a message and ask the question. Still need to find the ~Ā£700 for the boards + install so might be a while!

Are the Vlands a better option ? I’ve been looking at them for a while but can’t decide .

I don't even think it's been 6 weeks since I last pulled all the weeds out of my parking spot, look how much it's grown! Had to spend some time this morning pulling it all out so I can take the car out later today, sure wasn't going to drive through it, some of those weeds were strong as hell!

Not with Vlands. Mine were from Exotic Pony Mods. They were crap. I had to replace the electronic modules three times, after which the lamps themselves broke down (well, one of them did). At that point I just threw in the towel.
No personal experience with Vlands, though.

Wash and polish ready for car meet at Billy Bobs, Myerscough tomorrow.
Any North West UK members, pop along. Usually a handful of stangs and a number of corvettes, Dodge, and rat rods.

Are the Vlands a better option ? I’ve been looking at them for a while but can’t decide .
Recently decided to look into red lense rear lights for my U.K. GT (tries very much not to write rant about Ford...).

At that time, there just so happened to be a discount on the VLAND website, so I ordered a set.

I have a 2019 GT.

The top edge of the light housing does not sit flush with the boot lid, 99.9% of folk probably wouldn't notice as it is out of direct line of sight, so that's the price I pay for ordering AM kit, while also doing what I've done for the last 30 yrs.

The light housings are made from an inferior material compared to OEM (can't believe I'm writing that about a Ford product  ), my estimation is VLAND's supplier have increased the talc content in the material they mould the light housing from.
This came to my attention when the rectangular slots on the top of the light housing, which are there to accept the clips on the upper light trim panel, broke the slots in the housing ( I can provide pictures if necessary).

Installation is basic and easy for anyone who has even a vague acquiantance with a spanner, no, I'm not referring to the PM!..

The wiring adaptation appears to be good and so far..... No issues I'm aware of.
I don't like the dangly yellow wire, but I sorted that with shrink wrap (WD Pro would be proud of me :captain: )
The wiring adapters for U.K. cars appear to be of standard quality and installation of the adaptors is very easy.

The package includes additional wires, however, the Good news is UK cars don't seem to need the additional wiring the US cars appear to require :giggle:.

The instructions for lighting mode selection are pants, couldn't program the lights with just ignition on, had to start the car and have the engine running to effect a program change.

(Still trying to resist Ford rant  ) IMO The Ford Mustang shoud always and only ever have been supplied with red lense rear lights and while the lights from VLAND are missing the ultimate lighting mode, so far, overall..... I'm pleased with them.

The person who recommended VLAND to me, convinced me they would be durable, I can't yet claim that here, because I've had them only for a month or two, but I expect they will last.

From a purely aesthetic point of view, imo, they have been an improvement for my car and overall, I'm satisfied with them.

I hope this helps.

Not today, but this week - service, which turned out to be a big one, i’m 8 years in now so on top of the standard service items, i was on the hook for new spark plugs, brake fluid change etc.

it went to my trusted local garage, who aren’t ford or mustang specialists but otherwise fantastic, fair to say i was shocked when they wanted auth to go ahead with the Ā£900 of work! I even called Hendy performance in Eastleigh, who gave me the exact same price.

Anyway, all done. One of the few places i trust to wash the car too, so that’s saved me a job.

I had my 3 year service done (at 8,262) this week too, and 1st MOT at my Ford dealership.
That was nearly £500 and only really an oil and filter change!
Now its out of warranty (well in a week or so it will) I will be going to my mates garage who I trust 100% and will not get my arse spanked on the price either.

That's £11 more than I paid ...

For my first three services combined ...

I am glad I do it myself, nothing difficult and if you purchase the stuff from Rock Auto you are using genuine Ford parts at a fraction of the price in the UK.

Thanks! Ha ha šŸ˜‚
Interestingly, Ford rang me on my way home to offer me another plan (which would be year six onwards) - if they send me anything interesting I will post it up :like:

Its easy money for them, £500 to change the oil and filter and a look over. Probably takes one of there mechanics under an hour and under £100 in parts and materials. Nice job if you can get it.
