BG got its reputation for making shifting little smoother on 15-17 MT-82 cars.
But none of this, including shifter feel means anything for how good the fluid is - it's job is to lubricate and just about any of them does it fine. I change my transmission fluid every once in a while and it comes out perfectly clean. Literally like straight out of the bottle.
using BG or do you use something else?

Thank you all. I did it last night. Had some trouble getting the stupid fill plug out since the clearance there isn’t a lot. I had to use an Allen key and a box end wrench to get enough leverage to move the dang thing but we are good to go.

Yep. If you have trouble with reach, behold the transmission drain and fill bolt reacher:

That's the rear diff
Good call. Just drained my hondas trans and its the 3/8. I knew i used it on the gt too but was mistaken on where. Been a few years since I had to on the mustang!

I changed to Motul Multi DCTF this year. It's good. I think Amsoil was in it before, and anecdotally, I like the Motul fluid better.

I agree with KZ, though. I think most fluids will perform similarly, especially if they meet the Ford spec.

I have used amsoil, the ford stuff, and valvoline. The BG stuff made a noticeable improvement in shift quality. My MT82 shifts way better with BG in it, I can easily get a double down shift coming into a corner on the track, were as before, it was notchy and sometimes a miss, even on fresh fluid. I have been changing it now before each track season and it works well enough to keep me from thinking about the tremec.

I just did my first change on my '16 GT MT82 a few weeks back at 57,xxxx miles, which was also the transmission's first since new. Pretty straightforward overall, I also needed some extra leverage to break the fill plug. Hardest part was making sure I had the car level front to back and side to side on my not so level driveway.

I use Motul in a lot of other things so stuck with them and their DCTF fluid. Been about 2,000 miles and nothing has exploded so reckon I did it right. Fwiw, I did not notice a measurable difference in shifting quality after the change. Also did the differential fluid at the same time, again, no noticeable difference that I can discern. Just peace of mind knowing exactly how hold the fluids are.

I also do not notice any difference in shifts with the BG synchro 2 like everyone says lol.

You may not notice a difference if you're not pushing it very hard. I have had to put a shifter in and change out the engine and trans mounts as trying to get from 4th to second of a high speed strait was quite a chore and sometimes impossible. After using BG this happens pretty straight forward now and I can tell when the fluid is worn out as the shift takes more force to execute.

Motul Multi-DCTF FTW ! Started using it in 2017/18 @ 26k now at 98k on second change @ 60k
Shifts like a dream down to 10°F, still shifts real good @ -10°F
I drive my car all seasons.

Motul Multi-DCTF vs BG transmission oil:

- Who has tried both of these transmission oils, because now I am curious and would like to hear the comparisons between Motul Multi-DCTF vs BG transmission oil

Keep in mind Motul Multi DCTF was designed around high output track use Nissan GTR’s. I’ve used BG in other manual transmission but for the MT82 I couldn’t bring myself to use BG vs Motul. If you asked me to pick a brand, Motul vs BG there’s no thinking required. Motul hands down from Automotive, Track to Off-Road powersports. Plus Motul is easy to locate, Summit Racing or World Pack if you know a Guy.
Just my opinion.
BTW my back up choice to Motul DCTF is Pentosin or Ravenol
