I finally caught a break between the heat and the rain to give her a much needed wash.

Must have been side Number One.
I was wondering if people were making up how hard the passenger side is versus the driver side and they weren't lying. The driver side took maybe 2 hours start of removal to header done. Only hard part on the driver side with how the Kooks are routed is the top rear bolt. Its a bitch to get a box end wrench on it from the top. Don't know how else you could possibly tighten that fucker.

I preemptively bought my neighbor a case of Miller Lite to ease the effect of the occasional cold start. Its louuuud.

installed a new resonator. i had the oem suitcase with oem mufflers and it was ok. im currently battling a karen encamped close by and my oem resonator lost a weld in the baffle and is rattling like a sob. to embarrassing to drive so i went with acelltec resonated xpipe. i was hunting for quiet. its a hollow cavity with little scoops in the air stream. it resonates like a sob and it sounds like a metallic mess. ugggg. im tempted to take a hole saw and fiber glass to the issue. regardless of the late 90s metallic rasp its actually friggen quieter then the oem piece ffs. with lth and oem mufflers... the aftermarket option was quieter. by quieter i mean less boomy. oem with lth and no cats was boomy. this resonator really breaks up the exhaust. i know it flows like shit but so does my oem neck down on the mid pipe.

Another cheap wash at the swirl maker building. Debating on what setup to buy so I can wash the car at the apartment complex. They don't have an issue with me taking a hose or using outlets for the vac. Additionally, wondering if I should get the rest of the Armytrix setup for the car.

Whelp, the GT had occasional slow starts over the last few weeks, and then today it cranked once and died. So I replaced the factory battery with a new one from Costco. I can’t believe how expensive these batteries are everywhere else. It was half the price.

I’m not sure if it’s all in my head, but the car feels better on longer pulls now. 🤷

I use 2 buckets, and the Adam’s compact power washer with a foam cannon. All of it seems to do a good job, especially post ceramic coat.

Got the roof wrapped black earlier in the week. Now I just need to do the mirrors.

I had to replace my battery a couple of weeks ago. Bought the new one from Costco as well. If you haven't, I'd suggest hooking the new battery to a charger to top it off. I did and it took about 3 hours at 5A to come to full charge.
I agree though, the car definitely seems to run smoother/ better with the new battery.

That Adams washer does look interesting I might have to pick it up. Are there products good or is it overpriced Chemical Guys junk?

I prefer them over chemical guys, for sure. Everything I’ve used from them has been of good quality.

What is included in the annual service?
Not a lot on the five year - multipoint inspection, oil, and filter pretty much covers it I think. The big one was last year (plugs and brake fluid included). I think our service schedule is the same as over that side of the pond, maybe just with a few omissions i.e. mistakes.

It also includes the stamp for the body inspection to keep the paint / corrosion warranty valid - Ford U.K. will kick back a claim if this isn’t done, AND this time I noticed it was an additional tick box on booking in to get it done (cynical ? Who, me ?).

Our MOT (your state inspection) is independent of the Ford stuff, but the dealer offers it at the same time so for the few £’s you might save, it’s not really worth making a second booking for the MOT elsewhere :like:

That color is so amazing..
Thank you !

I don’t edit photos (other than cropping / resizing) before posting them on here and it’s rare the iPhone captures the colour well - this time it captured it pretty good.

Often it looks washed out - I’m wondering if the heavy sky and large dark blue background made for a favourable camera setting / exposure ?

Another realistic one taken immediately before the first picture I posted, so the same lighting conditions etc :

Ignore the front plate, unfortunately it got loose and fell off again just before driving home …
