I don’t post often on here anymore but linger here and there. As an original owner it’s totally a buy once cry once deal.

I had the first prototype “road kit” from Essex and actually have my car in their instruction manual.

In terms of running 18s at a minimum you need the front kit, wait for a Black Friday sale or wait in the classifieds for one. About 2 years ago I did the rears as while the oem rear caliper clears most 18s, occasionally rocks get stuck in between the caliper and wheel.

To put things in perspective, over the 8 years I’ve had the kit I’ve done maybe 30 trackdays, the discs lasted about 27 before I replaced them. I replace pads every 4-6 events depending on the tracks I go to.

The wheels are Forgeline GS1R 18x11 +52 and I rotate them with a 25MM spacer up front.

I have ran Continental, Michelin, and Pirelli slicks but prefer the Pirellis by a wide margin. They can be had for about $650 to $750 a set landed and give me 3-4 solid track days

Totally unrelated, do you have a better photo of your hood? We have the same color combo, and I've been torn on painting the vents vs leaving black. Feel free to PM me.

The person youre replying to is not only not interested in 1/4 mile racing but drives a GT350 and not an ecoboost. No idea what relevance any of what you had to say has to do with OP's question.
I am a road racer! Drove professionally for several seasons for Chrysler UK as well as being their chief consultant. Also drove for Mountune racing for a season in Cosworth Sierra's. Have set track records on all but one of UK major rad courses all with engines that I developed and built.
A drag strip pass is a mark of performance change regardless of whether you are a road racer or a drag racer.

So you came back 2-1/2 months later to say that your post about how you have videos on how to improve drag strip times in an ecoboost mustang would help him with his question about fitting 18" wheels over the massive brakes on his GT350?

This is the equivalent of someone asking for dating advice, 100 people in here giving dating advice, then you chime in with advice on how to properly pickle a cucumber. Great, that's good that you know that, but it's not helping the question at hand.

Other than telling Nate 22 precisely how to do it I suppose it has no relevance!!!

I don't think you have watched either video!

Unless your video shows him how to specifically mount an AP racing brake setup on his GT350 then the video doesnt address his core concerns of fitting a smaller wheel and tire without sacrificing braking capability that thr GT350 is known for. Your Ecoboost has tiny brakes compared to what the GT35p comes with so nothing in your videos about choosing the right wheels or tires would help him at all as its not relatable to his core concern.

xxanchormonxx,
David Vizard here. I have modified my 2023 Mustang Ecoboost's engine to the point where it is just shy of 400 RWHP. I will be doing track days at VIR and I am looking to deal with the aerodynamics.
Underhood temps with the stock bodywork indicate that there is lift being caused by the hood and gearbox temps are climbing too fast.
I am trying to locate a good looking AND functional hood such as you appear to have on your Mustang. Great looking car BTW.

Can you tell me where you sourced it or will I have to build my own?

You just don't want to watch those video's do you. I specify exactly how to overcome the brake fitment problem.

Please don't argue for the sake of it.

You haven't linked a single video. You have 207 videos on your channel and I, and everyone else are not about to watch them all to try and find this genius level information you claim to have.
