More specifically will an VMP Odin 15-17 kit work on a 2021 car with some small adjustments like an updated airbox and different pulley setup?

I think the hood, and the DPI will get in the way.

I think the Whipple and Odin units are the same head unit on the older model kits as the 2018+, so that shouldn't be an issue. Putting an older kit like the VMP or Roush TVS or Whipple 2.9 would be a problem for reasons you said though. Like when you put a GT500 blower on and need spacers

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

VMP said the main difference would be the throttle body but I didn’t get much information from them outside of that. I think they don’t want to support someone buying a used blower which is understandable.

Loki uses the stock TB (and adapter plate) vs Odin which uses an oval TB

So you'd have to make sure the TB you use fits and the tuner would have to know which one you're using. That shouldn't be a big deal. May have to customize how you connect to your air intake as well

The Odin uses the dual 69mm throttle body and aftermarket air box. The loki kit uses same head unit but with the stock throttle body and air box. I imagine if you pay VMP for the tuning you're going to need they would be happy to offer support as well.

I think you guys might be confusing Loki vs Odin.

I am more concerned with if I find a good deal on a Odin kit from a 15-17 car, what won’t work/what will I have to upgrade to get it to work on a 18-23 car.

Just curious, any reason you want a 15-17 unit for an 18-23 car?

Are you worried about the parts availability etc since they aren't being made anymore?

It could be made to work. The big difference is the throttle body. The 15-17 use an analog TB while the 18+ use a digital TB. So you have to factor that into your purchase price.

I suspect the blowers are the same on the 15-17, it’s probably just some of the support pieces that are different. If the right deal pops up on a used kit for half the price I’ll take it and make some small adjustments to make it work, saving $2-3K in the process. I have been searching and see a lot more 15-17 kits than 18-23. Rather than pigeon hole myself into that later gen kit I could expand my options if it’ll work. I was just seeing if anybody else has gone this route. Last thing I want to do though is pull the trigger on a kit, find out it does not work, and then have to deal with selling it.

If it doesn’t work out then no biggie and I’ll buy new.

Assuming this is what you receive:
-The VMP Twinjet throttle body for 2015-2017 will NOT work without a hokey adapter piece and it is worth buying the correct 2018+ throttle body.
-Due to the hood/fender line, there is a chance the cold air intake is different from 2015-2017 also.
-Fuel hook up with 2015-17 will be different than 2018 due to the DI connection

Besides that, mechanically it should all hook up within reason.
