Curious to see your nostril replacements. I want to remove mine as well. The 15-17 vents from Trackspec are so much better
Some photos of my progress.

I didn't realize we were this close to completion or I'd have warned you about back masking and painting to prevent the little "orange wedges" near the edges.

It doesn't have to be immaculate, but after making the sheet metal cut I go back and cut the masking tape between the mounting holes and then paint it satin black (or gloss to match your vents).

This is after drilling the holes and you can see there's only orange outside of the vents. This also helps to put a bit of paint as protection around where you just made the cut.

I asked the wife about them and she said it was fine. And I really trust her opinion. She's quite picky and has a (too) keen eye for flaws. So I don't mind the little orange tattle tales. The vents are surface mounted and show the fasteners anyway. Besides, they are removable with the 10-32 fasteners. I still need to remove them and paint the bright edges of the cuts with gloss black nail polish.

Oh that's great if they're removable. Mine are riveted in place so while they're "technically removable", it's not hardly worth the effort.

TAKE MY MONEY 😁
🤣

I made 3 sets so there are 2 left over. All with the mating aluminum drill template. (You would not believe how helpful that was.) You can choose bare or powder coated.

Are your fender vents bespoke or a commercial product?

These replacing the nostrils look so much better. Great job, Philip! May have to pick a set up.

Do you happen to have pics of how the underside of the hood looks?

So I got a set from Philip and they are really really good quality. My transmission started acting up so I put the damn car on a time out LOL. Work has been hectic so I haven't had a chance to take some pictures, but I'll get some pics up this week and hopefully install them in the next week
