I can’t see myself doing that my friend. The C7 was bad enough but the C8 ruined the car for me. I would buy a C7 depending on the color but C6 is where I drop the line. I always respect your opinion on this site so please take this with a grain of salt.

100%. I would add if they did all you said, added a PDR and heads up option, and stopped the hop from the factory, S650 would have sold in droves. Instead they listened to some younger focus groups who had zero intention of every buying the car.
DarthMalice is on to something here.

It’s not my favorite of the Vette’s but I got a really good deal from a Chevy dealer that I’ve done a lot of business with over the years that I couldn’t say no to. So I’ll drive it a bit until I find the GT500 I want, then it gets traded for said GT500 😉.

It’s a really good car and is dang fast, but it doesn’t elicit quite the same smiles as a GT500 does. If I still have it this time next year, I’ll be surprised if I’m being totally honest. Much like the GT500, the DCT in the Vette is well done. Perfect match for the car, a manual wouldn’t do it justice.

I love the Mach 1 and like the Dark Horse. Plus, I wouldn’t kick a C8 out of my garage!

thru my lens, the Corvette looks like they combined the front half of one car with the back half of another. It just doesn't seem together visually.
I told my wife the same thing!
I’m hanging onto my S550 as long as I can.

Peak Corvette from my point of view.
GS, Z06, ZL1! 🥰
It did not get better from there.
C7 is the ugly child of a C6 and and 6th gen Camaro, C8 is not a Corvette at all in regard of look.

Funny, at first I didn't like the C5, 6, 7, or 8. Now (year depending) I like all of them. I saw a new (still had the temp tag) orange C8 with a black wing and trim today on my Memorial Day visits and it looked awesome.
Made me want one, but I could never have one.
We were stopped at a light side by side and I asked him if it was a Z06. He sad it was just a C8. I told him it looked great, and he told me he liked my Mustang. Kinda made me feel special:blush:

Why on earth did you get rid of one of the best cars they ever made and in a killer color?
It was pretty but started having way to many issues and was going to cost way to much money to fix so I traded it in for my new 2023 Mach 1.

The C8 is a beautiful car. I’m currently debating of getting a C8, but waiting to see if the C8 GS comes out first. If it does, I’m all over it. GM has done a fantastic job, and that includes properly manufacturing a FPC engine in the LT6 (Ford’s Voodoo is an overall a joke) AND adding boost to it from the factory in the LT7.

Im 320 lbs and 6’ 2”. I was not very comfortable and kept rubbing the leather on the left seat bolster with the seat all the way back.

Lastly, the car was very low and I sustained $8,000 of damage driving over a A frame traffic sign that any other car could have drove over. It’s was at night on the highway and I could not avoid it due to not being able to see it laying flat till late and other cars next too me. Bumper, side skits, and door have to be touched up. Didn’t want to drive it at night anymore.

Then there is the LS-7 heads which need to be removed and worked because of the valve guide seals and Titanium valves. LS-7 factory heads often dropped valves and destroy the whole engine if ran to 7000+ rpms.

I chose to buy a more comfortable Challenger which reminded me of my 2006 Pontiac GTO and that was replaced with the Mach 1.

The Mach 1 is a more livable car. The Challenger was just too big and floaty. The Mach 1 without handling package was more comfortable than the Z06 but didn’t handle as well.

The Mach 1 with HP is the closest thing to my old Z06 is speed and handling stock for stock. I do drag race all my cars but when I’m not drag racing, I want the car to handle like the Z06!

It is, but should be above the Corvette in the lineup with an own name tag.
I disagree, but I can understand the premise of being its own brand. I guess if GM truly wants to compete with the McClarens, and Lambos of the world.
