I just had this done, outside of warranty (50k miles) and the dealer charged 1600 + tax. I talked to an couple independent shops about it and they all wanted to do a diagnostic first and tried to tell me it was likely not the evaporator. Of course a diagnostic would be $200-400.

The $1900 is already dumped as I'm picking it up today. I hope it will last another year or so, as I plan on upgrading to a '19 when the '20's are released.

I'm in NC. The 4 character limitation is because it's a specialty plate, for example, a sports team, so only 4 are allowed for customization. If I wasn't getting specialty plate, I'd have 8 to play with.
