I get nothing but compliments and thumbs up ever time I’m out. I don’t even have a dark horse, just a GT… people generally don’t know the difference.

Ford did such an amazing job with the new S650, gonna put the whipple on this weekend

the tail lights remind me of 99-04 cars from behind, and the throwback late 60s.
Don’t even get me started on the new dash… it’s incredible, super fast tech and being able to switch gauge design on the fly is just so friggn cool.

I rarely use remote rev… but once in awhile if I’m walking across a parking lot for instance, I will… also pretty damn cool.

my dad can’t get over just how much power these make, back in his day it would take a small fortune to make 500HP…. Or even 400hp for that matter.

this is me and my friends gen2 6r80 coyote notch at the track… I had him by half car the whole run.

Your S650 looks awesome and love the Fox Body! At the end of the day who cares what some internet folks think, we drive what we like. Not long ago Mach 1 was getting all the heat, now the S650 is up. Next will be the S750 👿

I am not against the S650 gen. I want it to succeed, but I was underwhelmed by the Dark Horse as the Flag Ship of this iteration. I don't like all of the tech; we've gotten to the point of diminishing returns. I want Ford to succeed and keep the Mustang brand alive. I guess these changes are appealing to the next generation of drivers. It is not really a bad design- there are things I really like but the sum of it's parts just doesn't appeal to me.

If someone told me that’s actually a new Subaru I’d believe them.

I was at my Ford dealership getting the Shelby GT350 serviced and spotted a Dark Horse in the show room. There were some things I really liked about it, others not so much. The front end should have been used during the 2018 s550 refresh. It is the best feature of the new body design. From the back I get the narrow tail lights being a nod to the old school fast backs, but I don't think it works on the modern design.
The interior feels more upscale, but the lack of tactile knobs, buttons, and switches for often used controls really bothered me. Everything is stuck in those ipad screen displays.
The seats were pretty comfortable.
Not sure if I like the dark horse logo/badging.. just kind of meh.. maybe it's the size and placement.
Overall for the price I would not desire to own one of these. For 15k less I'll keep my Shelby.

100% agree with everything you said!! It's not just the dark horse, but all 650s. The iPads are ok, but don't take away manual switches. They should have used the idea from the aftermarket for the 550 with it's iPad head deck. Essentially the buttons are on the sides and the screen is much bigger. Another thing that bothers me is that Ford didn't really add anything from the 550. Yes they put in a new interface, but the underlying systems are the same. They really should have added some tech features (or have it available in a package) like heads' up display, front camera, night vision, a version of auto-cruise, and massaging seats...nothing crazy, just look at other manufacture options in sports sedans. Hell, the dead Camaro had a heads' up display. At least make it an option for me!

As for the Dark Horse...they really should have bridged the gap between the GT and the GT500. The GT350 did it with a different engine. I think it's a missed opportunity.
