. Got me a little toy arriving today as well to compliment my 3 inch and 5 inch Rupes polisher Got to get all those little cracks polished out 
) and a horse hair brush, DI rinse. Didn't touch the wheels, they are gonna be removed and deep cleaned and coated later in the week... Also did as good of a vacuum as I could do of the interior and removed the clutter, cleaned the interior glass as well, mainly the rear window... Will start on the rest of the interior tomorrow, top down also have some Colourlock Fabric protector for the top as well...

Got the full decon wash of the paint done today (Lift, Descale, bucket wash, Purify on a clay towel), engine bay up to spec (brake buster neat in foam canon, scrub with a brush, KCx Motorplast applied), scrubbed the top with rinseless wash (DIY mixed strong in my new IK Pro 2 battery powered
Oh and my new polisher arrived. I can't wait to try it, the paint is TRASHED from an auto car wash. She thankfully canceled her subscription and is interested in learning to wash the proper way
Man I am looking forward to trying it... I have waffled about buying one for a while, but these new cars have so many nooks and crannies I felt like it was finally time... The LHR 75 is just too bulky for right angle areas...
Two things to watch / be mindful of with the iBrid Nano -
No extension was included, I might get one at some point. I do plan on using essence for sure for the final step, it worked wonders on my daily driver... I definitely won't go for perfection, just hoping for a bit more gloss and at least hide the imperfections as best I can, I really dislike the thought of burning up clear coat especially on a car that isn't mine...Two things to watch / be mindful of with the iBrid Nano -
1. Know that pad stall when in dual action mode requires some management.
2. In rotary mode, ALWAYS start on speed 1 as you will otherwise fling compound all over what you are working on, but over your clothes too. Ask me how I know this.
3. The general rule of thumb with rotary, the bigger the pad, the more aggressive it will be. It's the opposite for dual action, the smaller the pad, the more aggressive. So with that in mind, in theory the Nano is safer in rotary mode, but it can still create rotary holograms, and you still need to be careful re burn through. Not trying to put you off, just be up to speed before you get on the tools.
4. Not sure if you ordered the kit, if you did you should have the rotary extension included. This is brilliant for getting into tight spots, say behind door handles, wing mirrors ect. You can order it separately too.
On S650, the extension will help when doing the the hood vent......................although I struggled to correct that gloss finish and I found that it was marring straight away while wiping off the compound. In the end, I used Essence on a microfiber towel by hand and gave up.
5. When attaching the backing plates, don't over tighten them, they are a plastic thread winding into metal.

Looks fantasticToday was the first wash of the Wildtrak after it was detailed two weeks ago. Gyeon recommend waiting 14-days before exposing Can Coat EVO to detergents and chemicals. Soap of choice was Gentle Snow Foam GSF from KCx, which easily dealt with the situation. As you can see in the below image, the coating is rejecting the soap, as evidenced by the patchy coverage. This seems to be most prevalent with GSF as other soaps tend to cling a little better to a coated surface. Not a knock on GSF, just an observation.
THE reason why you ceramic coat a car over a wax or sealant is the ease of washing and drying. Yes, you still have to do the work, but from start to finish the job is just quicker, easier, more enjoyable. For starters, the pre-wash or pre-rinse will remove quite a bit of the grime, again the coating rejects the contamination and prevents it from bonding to the paint. After contact washing, you then notice the quicker rinsing, again the coating is promoting faster water speed across the surface. Then, when it comes time to blow the car down, any remaining water is purged from the vehicle very quickly. So yes, you still need to go through the motions, but job is so effortless.
Following the wash, I went with ADS Amplify, mainly because it was so cold today and Amplify seems to be the fastest flashing drying aid I have. Also, of the fast-flashing kind, I decided to try Bilt Hamber Trace-less again today. With the sub 16-degree temps today, I had this glass cleaner playing nicely. I’m in the process of writing a post in an attempt to better understand why I have struggled with this supposedly “game changing” glass cleaner.
Finally, I had a play around with a head mount for my Go-Pro during the rinse phase of the wash. In particular, take note of the exceptional water behaviour of Can Coat EVO toward the end of the video.
This also shows why a swivelling inlet to the gun is desirable. Having the hose swivel when under pressure as you move around the car, from side to side, up and down, angled to reach certain areas, it just makes the process more fluid. Your hose will still get bound here and there, from experience ALL hoses will do this, be they a garden or high pressure hoses like this. However, the inlet swivel helps limit and/or makes it easier to untangle, and in this case, offers superior dexterity.
I do agree, I have noticed GSF doesn't "cling" to a coated vehicle quite as good. Shine Supply Shift and ADS Shampoo+ do the same thing.. And it doesn't have the secondary bubbles when rinsing either like Reset does.... I don't mind, it works really well...
Are those the original tyres on that S650? Mine came with stinky Pirelli's.Day 2 in the books. Wheels off, cleaned, Decon, clean off the Vaseline tire dressing the car wash used best I could (Tarminator later). Applied ADS wheel to the wheels and the face of the calipers where the letters are. The rest is adonized so I didn't bother but keeping the Brembo logo clean is a must.
No she done went thru the Pirelli's. I talked her into the Michelin
Its got almost 20K miles on it already hence how NASTY it is 
. I'm starting on polishing the paint today, it is awful... Had a slight front end repair and there is still buffing haze on the hood the body shop didn't get out....
