What's the preferred method (read as: most effective) for cleaning wheel brushes?

How do the IK bottles/sprayers compare to Pressol? I got my first IK when I ordered my ADS stuff from the Rag Shop.

I used all IK 360 bottles for my detailing setup. I bought the standard bottles from The Rag Company they had the best in bulk price. Seems hard to find on their site without the assistance of Google https://theragcompany.com/products/...74487&pr_ref_pid=7253895217335&pr_seq=uniform

You can also find it on Amazon for a little less if so inclined. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CYDK2XF...5bf1ebe2ab&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWw

I bought their Oil & Hydrocarbon bottles and spray heads for the more toxic chemicals such as Brake Buster, Iron Remover, etc. Those I ended up getting from Clean Garage. https://clean-garage.com/ik-hc-tr-1...GDylkZfgdUCOghSK9OUTWlydhAO4ABUVrKBfzS4&gQT=2

So far after over a year of use, they all have held up just fine with not complaints.

My apologies if this has been answered in a previous post of mine here. (I can't seem to find an answer). I get a lot of pollen from trees, bushes, grass etc that collect on the car. Is there anything that would help me wash this off every couple days with a hose or pressure washer? Honestly hand washing the vehicle every other day I just can't do. My other problem is with the accumulation of pollen, some of my plastics, mostly the one that drains from the windshield (or windscreen), seems to be starting to stain. What can I use to remove that completely or during a wash to retain the original color?

Check out the following -

Optimum Touch-less Decon (ph neutral)
Optimum - Touchless Decon Wash | The Rag Company

Koch Chemie Active Foam (mild alkaline)
Koch Chemie - Active Foam | The Rag Company

Bilt Hamber Touch-less (high alkaline, you will need to calculate your panel impact ratio)
Bilt Hamber Touch-Less Eco-Friendly Snow Foam for Exceptional Vehicle Cleaning – Obsessed Garage

These can all be used in a foam, dwell, rinse manner. While not a completely touch-free washing experience, depending which product you choose, these are generally 90 - 95% effective without touching the vehicle. I wouldn't towel dry after this because you may still have pollen residue (pollen is EXTREEMLY abrasive), so I'd use a blower afterwards to remove as much water as you can. Having a stout wax/sealant/coating present will help here.

but you have to be conscious that you’re getting two sprays per trigger pull so that’s an adjustment to your muscle memory.
The double pump has been a pebble in my shoe since the first time I used one of their sprayers, Brian BUT, I didn't know about the iK hydrocarbon version so I'm gonna grab one.

And while we're on the subject Deyon, (@DFB5.0) what label maker rig are you using?

I find rinseless wash is perfect in this scenario. Whether you use Optimum No Rinse or one of the many others on the market ( I prefer Armour Detail Supply Hero). This is a quick and easy way to safely remove such things off the paint. Or as @DFB5.0 mentioned a mildly alkaline pre foam and rinse is very effective too, just no contact as wiping if it isn't 100% gone will cause marring...

I’m planning to pick up the iK Foam Pro 2 ALK which is the blue trim bottle for alkaline chems. I’ll put brake buster in it for foaming the 🛞

Got a big job lined up for next week. I am taking a few much needed vacation days, and I have a good friend dropping off her S650 PP convertible on Monday and leaving with me til Friday. Giving it the royal treatment... Can't wait to see how it turns out, more photos to come. All my supplies arrived yesterday, gonna be fun :)

When you consider what these brushes are being used to remove, and the chemical used to do that job, then you are dealing with the same thing on the bristles...................as in old dressing and the need for alkalinity to break that down.

Having said that, I've found only certain tyre cleaners will do the job here. For example, Brake Buster won't be powerful enough, which is about right considering its designed as a mild to moderate wheel AND tyre cleaner.

The dedicated high-impact rubber and tyre cleaners have worked well though. Think Shine Supply Wise Guy, P&S Undressed, Adam's Rubber & Tire Cleaner, Carpro ReTyre. Normally, you wouldn't use APC concentrate at full strength, but in this case undiluted Green Star, Carpro Multi-X or Optimum Power Clean would be worth trying too, just be sure to rinse well afterwards.

I was going to say an APC mixed like 4:1 or even stronger. I keep a bottle of Green star at 5:1 for heavy lifting and use it very infrequently, normally 10:1... That is my go to for tough jobs like that... as for tire dressing, other than the little round makeup brush, I can't bring myself to use a brush for that.. I still use the little small microfiber sponges, and just discard afterward. I buy in a 24 pack cheap off Amazon...

I like them, they do look good. I have a friend that got a set for his S550 last week as well, they look good on a S550 too... Picture attached, not the best pic but you get the idea... Jury is still out how well I like them til after I pull them from the car and do a full decon, prep and coat :) something tells me they will be as difficult as my birdcage wheels
