Why is the spoiler deleted on the convertible PP1?

Allegedly because the PP1 spoiler would not clear the antenna on the vert.

Doesn't the CS convertible come with a small real spoiler? That's all I want, a small spoiler.

My car came with the small blade spoiler. Personally, I would’ve been happier if it was a spoiler delete car.

I can think of three reasons:

- Airflow over any surface is like a very fine silk sheet. It can be difficult for it to stay uniformly across any given plane. The roofline of a vert, top up, is anything but smooth and uniform. While I cannot quantify it, the amount of air possibly reaching a spoiler area would be slight and disorderly. Top down, any airflow is lost after passing the windshield

- Aesthetically, a vert is styled for touring, the spoiler, performance

- Given the two points above, dropping the spoiler saves money to be spent elsewhere, strengthening the chassis for lack of a roof

Facts:
1) trunk lid profile of coupe is different than vertical.
2) even if it did fit, it would hit antenna when opened the trunk lid.
3) then ask yourself, would Ford design/produce a spoiler for number PP1 verts built?

It's funny, but I like the blade spoiler vs a bigger, taller one. The lower profile of the blade spoiler makes the car look wider from the rear.

I have a clean trunk lid top and like it. Saw spoiler delete on 2025 60th Anniversary and it looked clumsy.

Didn't notice the flush mount spoiler until I had it wrapped.

I changed the long antenna to a stubby and replaced the blade spoiler with a gt350 styled one made for verts that came pre painted.

Did you really need to replace your OEM antenna with a stub when you installed the GT350 track pack spoiler?

I’ve read several places where guys stated that the GT spoiler passed by the OEM antenna.

Not entirely sure as I got the antenna before the spoiler. I use my Spotify with wireless car play adapter, so didn’t really ever used AM/FM to know if it made a reception difference

Here is my 18 GT, PP1, with a Foose color matched spoiler…just barely touches the antenna when trunk lid is open.
