I think women.driven has more content on OnlyFans, but the car content is just not there
Yeah it’s sad she started out as a real enthusiast and now she is just selling her robust body on patreon for a monthly fee and making calendars

My understanding is YouTube made some revenue payout changes in the last couple years that made it less lucrative to have a channel. People like Doug DeMuro and Tyler Hoover had been branching out into other things (car auctions, hosting for MotorTrend/other car shows). I think the VINwiki crowd has all dropped off because you can only tell lame stories about supercars and cannon balls for so long til we've all heard it. Good ol' boys running from cops stories can only go so far, and most of it's not believable anyway.

The quality of new content has fallen off a cliff. I actually find Jay Leno to be the most interesting guy posting in the last couple months, they've had some really neat stuff on his channel. Jay himself is a bit one trick these days, but he lets the cars get shown off and the guests speak enough for me to get over the Jay parts.

I also think we've all probably gotten a little tired of the YouTube car shows too. I never liked how these project channels don't show you a ton of the actual work being done, when they could be showing you tons since they don't have time limitations. The format is tired for me at this point.

If you're looking for something new check out this channel mustie1 - he's my favorite the last couple years, he finds junk and gets it running basically and really goes into detail what/how/why he's gonna do whatever step he thinks he needs to do. He's fixed up lawnmowers/snowblowers/scooters/bikes/tractors/cars/trucks and it's the most interesting stuff I've found on YouTube lately.

I think YouTube in general has taken a hit in recent years as well making it harder for viewers to enjoy. There are far too many ads these days and now they threat to block your account if you use an ad blocker.

If you force me to watch your ads, I'm not going to watch at all.

To be fair you've named some terrible channels and even the big ones move on/step away from time to time. I still watch primarily YouTube as I can't stand much of the stuff on TV now. Some great YouTube channels to look into if you're into more than just crashing stuff for clicks.

Adam LZ - Import car builds and Formula Drift competitor
AJ Hartman Aero - Aero stuff, racing, and car building
Driftworks - Euro car builds and track day content
Finnegan's Garage - Drag Racing builds and boat builds
Harry's Garage - Old Evo magazine creator and his cars and travels
Misha Charoudin - Blasting other people's cars around the Nurburgring
Rob Dahm - Rotary builds, engineering, how to rebuild an Indy Car by yourself
Speed Academy - Middle Aged canadians build 90's and 2000's imports primarily
StanceWorks - Ground up one man builds of Honda powered Ferrari's and Ferrari powered Ferraris
Throttle House - The most entertaining car reviews since Top Gear
Vin_Tra - The best "post-Hoonigan" channel

The most truthful statement I've seen in a long time.
I swear these guys are the reincarnation of the OG Top Gear spirit.

Yeah, the channels I listed were primarily birthed from the S550 launch and subsequent 5 year stretch. I think it's getting more difficult to make a full time go of it anymore. Many of these small you tubers sunk while trying to swim the "you tube channel"
It was a great phase, but as many have said the content gets old quick and unless you have the cash or debt tolerance to purchase newer cars and continue to mod and build things get stale quicky.
A lot of what I saw was just unnecessary modifications for the sake of getting viewers.
The only reason I was watching at that time 6was due to the fact that I was new to the Mustang scene and had bought my first "fun" car ever (2016 GT). Eventually the newness of these channels wears off.
The guys and gals that can really expand their content to multiple areas or who are making a living doing what they are filming (Matt's off road recovery) do well. They also have a certain charisma, honesty or likeability that keeps people watching.
Many expand into other areas outside of you tube if they are a big enough influencer or merch sales and Patrion overtake you tube.
I know a you tuber with over 1mil subscribers via my family tree who is at that point of "ok, do I really need or want to continue doing this?'

Making yourself a "one-make" channel is severely going to impact your viewership. I understand that most people can't start off out of the gate with buying and building 6 cars at once, but there's a reason many people start with older cars and move on from there. The fan base is larger (former and current owners) and you can acquire them for less making the builds cheaper and easier. The problem with this route is it has to be self-funded for the most part as there isn't as much in the way of "new sponsored parts" being built that you can score for free. Once you clear this hurdle and build viewership you can get into the new builds and giveaway game which seems to be working for most people.

The most successful though turn that youtube money into actual businesses though. AdamLZ is a great example of this where he has his YouTube channel and giveaways but now hosts the LZ World Tour for live events, and also is part owner of a racing simulator component company as well as a drift parts retail company. Cleetus may be the best at this with buying into two different race tracks (one he owns outright and another he's part owner in) as well as multiple parts manufacturers. These all make them money on the back end without them having to be involved in day to day activities allowing them to still make content, but also providing them something to fall back on if "The Algorithm" decides to fuck them out of the blue.

Hooves and car wizard are great. Wizard does give a lot of insight on what to look for in used cars on a lift. Legit cars for me is hit and miss. I bought a product kit from him and was very disappointed In it. Everything (foam cannon, wash mitt) was garbage, the clay mitt has been good. I wouldn't buy anything again from his channel. But some of the stuff can be interesting.

I used to watch Emilia Hartford when she was actually building cars. But it eventually got into the I have a super car channel and here are some thumbnails of my cleavage, and i was in a shitty movie. Immediately stop watching after sandy stopped helping build cars.
