I believe the OEM Ford battery is 390. The GT battery is 450 and fits. OEM batteries for this car, without tender, only last a few years (2-4).

I think OEM is 470 and the GT is 590. That is what I am seeing. Looking to replace my battery as I to am getting the drive mode not selected when I cold start.

Now I am staying with Motorcraft so the question is stay OEM or go to the GT 96R?

I had the small lithium battery too, but was having the low voltage issues since the install (not sure if it was related to the AG battery) so I replaced the pigtail connector and alternator and all the issues were fixed. I was reluctant to put the AG battery back in so I am using the OEM Motorcraft. Do you think it's safe to put the small AG battery back in? I hate to have it just sitting around since they are expensive.
It's not uncommon for the AG battery to not be able to supply all the juice needed for the car, especially if you have a DSC. Some folks never have issues in stock format, while others do. The BMS just likes to fight too much.

I was one with a DSC that the car could not operate with the LiPO. Even though AG assured me it would.

Not for my 2016. They were/are the sizes that I listed. I am referring to cold cranking amps.

My 2016 also had the smaller battery (390), but I think Ford started putting slightly larger batteries in them at some point. I remember some discussion in the past regarding final destination being a factor (i.e., larger batteries installed in cars destined for colder climates) - but not sure that was ever verified.

I really like the Odyssey battery I used as a replacement. But I got really good life out of the OEM one too (almost 8 years).

Think the weather has a lot to do with it. I moved up to the mountains 5,500 ft. from the beach and my replacement battery lasted about 2 years.
