cabin air filter location and access designed by ….. no one!

Replaced the cabin air filter (what a pain in the a$$) and since it’s in the 50’s here today, did a proper driveway wash. Didn’t spend a ton of time on wheels and tires as there’s still some salt on the road, but gave the paint a good washing.

Pics of the old filter, that’s after about 17k miles. Will be washing out my Green air filter this spring too, it’s probably due

OMG that is the worst location ever! I watched a CJ Pony Parts video on it and Bill said it was accessible without going through the glovebox, but there’s no way I could contort myself to lay under there to see anything.

6 months ago I installed 2018+ active exhaust on my 2017, I had cut open the valves and soldered wires directly to the motor, and wired a 6 position switch to open/close the valve. I had cut the original valance to fit the 4 tips and it was installed badly by the other shop. Decided to try out this GT500 style valance from ebay. I went to a different shop and they did a good job getting it installed in a good position.

Thanks. One of the tips have a little bend from shipping. Going to straighten it out and polish the tips good.

Do you happen to have a link to the valence? I checked eBay and every one I found for a 15-17 version uses a picture of it on an 18+ (bumper cover and lights). Would definitely feel better buying from someone that shows it on a 15-17!

The pictures of all these diffusers are weird. They often use pictures of an actual GT500 or they show the GT350 diffuser like the listing I sent you. But what is shown on my car, is what arrived. and it fit my 2017. Be careful reusing the existing hardware for the reverse light. I said to the mechanic "the original hardware is too long" and he insisted its okay. It wasn't, it made a dimple on the other side. But fortunately its in a place thats almost impossible to see.
