Anytime you supercharge or turbo these cars on stock engine you are greatly multiplying the possibly for catastrophic failure. That the only reason? Seems with 16k miles on a 2017 there's other reasons smh
I was being factious lol of course I have plenty of money to repair this vehicle. The tests leak down/pressure tests all came back good, got it up on the lift and underneath looks damn near new, I'm completely confident that this is a great buy. I'm not some 18 year old kid lol, I'm buying it as a fun around town on some back roads on the weekends car, I already have a GT500 that it'll be stored right next too....I understand what the added stress of adding a blower to a stock motor does lol.....I did ask in the beginning if anyone (if it checks out good) would have any qualms with a stock motor and a Roush Stage 2, and it was a resounding no....so it comes down too, can the internals handle a stage 2 Roush if the tests come back good, which they did?Anytime you supercharge or turbo these cars on stock engine you are greatly multiplying the possibly for catastrophic failure.
@ZLwhat if you do not have the disposable income or enough money set aside to repair a blown engine and/or transmission then DO NOT buy this car...
So in other words, you just can't help yourself. Not trying to be defensive lol, it just seems that every thread on this forum seems to be someone trying to find the negative in everything

Yep.That the only reason?
LMAO, really? That's the best you can do?You focus on fixing the door seal on the mustang you never drive and I'll worry about mine lol. I promise you I don't need the opinion of someone that doesn't even drive theirs.
Previous owner probably beat the shit out of it for 16k miles and dumped it....why else would they have it for so long with such little miles, I think i've seen it on youtube running over 30 people leaving a car meet while also doing doughnuts.....LMAO, really? That's the best you can do?
I just bought the car 2 1/2 weeks ago.
It was the original owner who never drove it, all the better for me.
You see that's what smart people do - they look for 1 owner, low mileage cars w/o any aftermarket mods, it gives you a nice, reliable, blank canvas to work with.
If the A-Pillar door plug (a $10.00 fix) is the worst problem I come across, I'm good.
i Thought I was smart and did exactly that. Searched for 6 months and I got a 2017 with less miles than yours. A guy brought it for his wife for Valentine’s Day With her own custom name plates. It was her go to coffee Sunday car. I owned it for a few weeks and it blew up in my driveway on a cold start up The morning after a long highway drive on cruise control. I think I was the first person to rev it passed 5000rpm and that was on the test drive hahaha. They made comment how it accelerated onto the highway in 3rd. They had never did it.LMAO, really? That's the best you can do?

It definitely is a lottery, you're right about that @Timbucki Thought I was smart and did exactly that. Searched for 6 months and I got a 2017 with less miles than yours. Cylinder 3 , Oil ring failed. possibly due to carbon or a Friday afternoon special build and tight or wrong size oil ring fitted.
and yet there are boosted builds out there it’s 150,000+ miles stock engines without issue.
it’s a lottery. Hahah.
I would have to say yes.Another quick question with this particular vehicle fellas. I was doing some research on the manual trans in the 2015 year and it states you pull up and go into reverse. My shifter you push DOWN and go into reverse. Did the previous owner swap out shifters to change that?
Jesus christ, just another thing set to blow up.......i kid.....kinda ;)....thanks coffeeI would have to say yes.
My wife has a 2015 GT premium and there is a collar underneath the shift knob you have to lift up on with your fingers in order to get the shifter into reverse. My 2017 has the same exact thing and I believe it's a standard feature with the MT82 6 speeds.
If you don't lift up on that collar you will never get the car into reverse - ask me how I know that, LOL.
When my wife's car was delivered I couldn't get the car into reverse for the life of me, so I finally broke out the owners manual and that's how I learned about the safety collar underneath the shift knob to get the car into reverse, I would have never picked up on it otherwise.
So if you have to push down to go into reverse, I'd have to say that is a mod, that one of the previous owners did.
No problem @ZLwhatJesus christ, just another thing set to blow up.......i kid.....kinda ;)....thanks coffee
I have a MGW shifter and you push down to get it into reverse. If that’s the shifter you have it’s a great upgrade. I’m not sure if the other brands are the same.Another quick question with this particular vehicle fellas.
