There is a formula to get ya in the ballpark, right?
Not even ballpark, actual.
I(A) = P(W)V

800 watts at 14.5 volts is 55.17 amps. Consider the style of music you listen to and volume you’d normally play at. For bass-heads you can assume 80% of max RMS so 44 amps. Most folks use about 55-60% or about 33 amps.

Music is dynamic, you’ll never pull 800 watts out of your setup unless you’re at rated input voltage, max volume, and a sine wave playing a single frequency.

You will get transients that may hit peak power, when they want more than available you get clipping.

Watts are a measure of power. The meter on your house is a watt hour meter.

Is that Rockford class A or AB? most crap today is D which I don't like for audio quality but class D amps are getting pretty good.
Those were AB but they sure were the hottest little AB amps I ever dealt with. Reps tried to tell me it's because the heat sinks were so efficient if you'll believe that. Before D became the norm, there was nothing that would kick out a sub like them, now this fits in the palm of your hand.

I run a down 4 sound JP8 @ 1ohm no problem on my stock battery no problem.. pushes almost 1400 according to the test videos..
1 12” sundown SA, it’s the hardest/lowest system for a single sub I’ve had

the newer tech is so much better/less expensive than back in the day.

“May”…as in very unlikely. The standard user won’t ever max out their system or clip if they set their input gain correctly not trying to squeeze out every watt possible.

if adding aux battery to trunk or factory battery relocation to trunk; perhaps make sure sealed cell versus a vented cell; as you really should avoid inhaling any battery atmospheric discharge as much as possible...
